As mentioned above - I got update 6.1 yesterday. It shows in my Fordpass but no email confirmation as yet. I was surprised that my sync Version stayed the same -23159. Maybe it just my lowly non power boost xlt?

23159 is what me and others have from 6.1.0.

The last OTA your truck recorded was 16 months ago. Your truck is also on Sync 22026 which is old (compared to the F150s). It seems like some Super Duty forum got word of this thread because I've had a few of guys come by here lately asking to look into your OTA's. I am happy to check for anyone, but know that the F250 update schedule could be very different from ours and perhaps aren't due as many updates as out trucks. I just want to be careful to make sure I do not spread misinformation and get a bunch of Super Duty owners thinking their trucks aren't getting updates when perhaps you aren't supposed to get updates past where you are now.

Your SYNC version only changes with an APIM update, such as 4.3.6 that brought you to 23159. 6.1.0 was a GWM or "Gateway" update. updates like this will not yield a new SYNC version number.

Yes, this thread was shared on two different SuperDuty forums that I follow, but those seem to have less comprehensive information than this forum - beyond just this thread related to OTA updates and Sync. Ford shares some parts across multiple vehicle lines so referring to other outlets that might have more up to date info can help.

My truck has Sync 4 but hasn't received any of the new functionality that guys are reporting to be available for the 250's and 350's. This lead me to reach out here and hopefully get some information to arm myself with before going back to the dealer for a 3rd time and requesting them investigating why my truck isn't updating.

In that case, remind me tonight at around 8pm eastern to check your truck again in FDRS. At work, I only have access to PTS, but I need FDRS to see if you (and your Super Duty buddies) have modules pending updates.

What you have to keep in mind is that Ford does not pay dealers for labor hours to update modules, so dealers will always come up with reasons to not do it or say the truck is up to date. Nobody likes to work for free.

They seem to have replaced the HCM, but are struggling to get it to program it.

Can you see why the programming failed? I did not remove the glare free lighting from the truck because it was already written to the as built.

If it does show updates you'll have to install them yourself because as rugedraw indicated dealers do not work for free and Ford doesn't pay them to update any vehicle. Only exception is rare cases to fix a major issue.

THe WACM cannot be updated via OTA. The SCME is a module I have seen in the F150 trucks, so I am not sure about that one as far as whether is can be updated via OTA or not. I am also not sure if the HVAC module can be updated OTA.

There are three important modules that usually require their updates to be installed sequentially up to a certain extent. Those are the APIM, GWM and TCU. It is possible that if the GWM update is applied, that another update will pop up on the list for either the APIM, GWM or TCU. APIM updates are the ones that can get you a newer Sync version.

So you do have modules pending updates, but I am not sure if Ford has OTA packages to updates those module for your trucks.

Edit: A member of the Mach E forums noticed a new GSM Ford released that shows the latest Sync version for all Ford vehicles. None of your trucks are on the latest Sync. You guys are on 22026.

Very few. I did 6.1.0 on mine with FDRS, and I am still not showing the next GWM for 6.2.0 in FDRS.

No 6.2.0 as other 21 trucks have reported.

I keep waiting for you to tell us one of these is an IPC update so I can start cussing at my broken IPC ethernet again. ?
