@SpaceWhiteG14 Good news. Jesse looked at your truck and you are good to go! After the dealer updated your APIM, they tried again and again to update your GWM, but were not able to. He made custom update files for your truck if you want to do that update yourself. All you need is a 32GB+ USB drive freshly formatted to exFAT and maybe 15-20 minutes. If you want to do it, PM me your email address so I can send you the files and instructions. You'll still be behind, but one step closer to being updated.
Edit: In you case PTS, does show the APIM failed to update many times, so maybe they can do it under warranty if they can find a TSB to bill it under. Screenshot of your OTA dashboard showing multiple failures is attached:
No need to go to the dealer. OTA 3.5.3 has failed 7 times since March for your truck. This is a very common problem with that particular update. Historically, that update is prone to having trouble downloading the files it needs from Fords server, and that is exactly what is happening in your case. That is the update that gives you full-screen carplay/android auto capability. If this update is important to you and you want to pay the dealer $200 to do it for you, then go ahead. However, there is nothing wrong with your truck. The problem is with Ford's servers.I would greatly appreciate it if you could check my VIN for updates (GWM/APIM, OTA 4.2.3 and beyond). Like many, I know there is a problem with my truck receiving latest updates. Want to be armed when I go to the dealer, who is telling me they want to charge $200 for their effort if this is a customer request vs. warranty (i.e., a problem)..
