Just check your headlight functions to confirm everything is working properly. When I enabled the rain light sensor, it screwed up my headlight functions.
Redacted -Until I enabled the rain light sensor, the wipers did not work in the rain sensing mode although the choice was in the settings menu and enabled. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "it screwed up my headlight functions"? I haven't checked my headlights yet.

I was trying to recall, but unfortunately do not remember. It was either the auto function no longer worked or the auto high beams didn't work. I will try it again when I have a chance and report back.

I would like to correct what I wrote earlier today. I said in the BdyCM, rain light sensor had to be enabled. After my initial testing, I was convinced that setting needed to be set. But after what you said about it might screw up my headlight functions, I decided to disable that setting in the BdyCM and retest. I'm happy to report that rain sensing does indeed work without the BdyCM rain light sensor enabled. I'm not sure why it didn't work the first time I tested it without the BdyCM setting, but in the past, I've seen where I have to wait for a period of time before testing modifications. Thus, below is how mine now stands for anyone who might have seen my earlier post:

APIM - Rain Sensing Wipe - Enabled

IPC - Rain Sensor - Enabled

SCCM - Rain Sensor - Enabled and Smart Front Wiper - Enabled

Just wanted to follow up on my previous post in case it helps anyone else. After I enabled the rain light sensor via easy mode, my headlights constantly stayed on. Once I disabled it, they began working properly again. I also confirmed that a '23 XLT 302a equipped with rain sensing wipers from the factory has this value set to disabled.

What module are you referring to?

The rain light sensor setting is in the body control module (BCM) in the location below. The value for * should be 0 or disabled depending on which Forscan mode you use.

After reading your first reply about headlight issues with rain light sensor set to enabled, I went back and disabled it and retested the rain sensing wipers and they performed as they should. Like I suggested, after making the initial changes, it seems to take a while after the truck is shut off before the changes become effective. Don't know why, but it's happened to me every time I've implemented a new feature. Just curious though about what the rain light sensor setting is other than screwing up the headlights ?

I don't have a good answer for that. Hopefully, someone else is able to assist.

I have a 23 501 and its the first of the mods I did to my truck.

Surprisingly I already had the sensor in the windshield assembly and all I had to do was enable rain sensing via an easy method in ForScan. I don't remember which module but it was just one.

Now I just need to keep my stalk on one up from off and it activates automatically.

That’s strange it wasn’t enabled from the factory. Does the option show on the window sticker? And which stalk do you have, the one with the A like the photo? Lucky you, I had to go the Infotainment route. I had to enable the rain sensing wipers in three modules, IPC, SCCM, and APIM. Now if it will just rain so I can test out the feature for real ?

Not sure if anyone is still fighting this not working and throwing a dtc once enabled. When I did this on my 21 xlt the connector at the drivers side c pillar did not have the lin bus wires from it to the sccm. Through the headliner all was good but not down pillar and under the floor so I ran them and tapped them into the corresponding sccm wires. Works great now.

That's likely how my MY22 Lariat was equipped. I had the plug in the module behind the rear view mirror, but it didn't have voltage and I just didn't want to take the time to figure out the wiring, so I went the Infotainment route and used their harness. I have no concerns about pinning connectors and plugs, but the Infotainment harness is plug and play. Glad you got it sorted out.

Negative. Its a 501a without assist 2.0, so not standard equipment.

Negative for the stalk as well.

The auto wiper option came in my sync 4 after the Forscan change. To activate, I have to keep the stalk on 1st turn, which is intermittent.

That first click is also the on position for automatic rain sensing on the A stalk. The O position is off on yours and mine so you can completely turn off the wipers when you go through a car wash or during snow and ice when the wipers may be frozen. It appears the only difference in the stalks is the A designation.

I can confirm that the factory stalk worked fine with adding auto wipers on my 2023. I ended up replacing it with the auto stalk since I found it for around ~$30, but I noticed no difference after replacing it.
