Just stumbled on to this today and haven't seen this mentioned on the site. If you hold down the forward buttons under the main screen and on the steering wheel simultaneously, you can bring up a Sync diagnostics screen called Bezel Diagnostics. It has pages of information and diagnostics for the APIM, AHU, DSP, ICP, TCU, ECG, Connectivity and many more. Sometime it will come up with just holding down the buttons but usually when I hold them down I will get the DSP Speaker Walk Around Test (which is a great way to test that each speaker is working)

If you hit the End Test Button, it brings up the Bezel Diagnostics Screen. Each options has lots of data about software and hardware versions. Thought if may be of use:

If you scroll to the bottom there is an "Exit Diagnostics" that has worked for me.

Where did you find that
Toward to bottom of the menu. Think it says connectivity or something like that. Just exit normally, not gracefully and it will stay on screen until you turn it off or till you do certain updates.

I tried to do this yesterday by holding down the FFWD or Next Track buttons on both the steering wheel and on the console radio control panel and got nothing. I had a side card open for the bed camera (which was actually off at the time). Would that have something to do with the diagnostics not coming up?

How about "IT manager"
Does anybody know what each of them mean/represent?
I can tell you what some of them are
The last black one is your phone connected to Wi-Fi.
The second to last one I'm not real sure but I don't have it when there's a no connection to my phone.
The last green one is the truck cell connection.
Send to last green is truck Wi-Fi connection.
The first 3 green ones I haven't figured out yet.

Someone let us know if I'm off on those.

ECG module
TCU module
Analytics server
Wi-Fi
Cellular

They can be kept on all the time. Truck starts up you'll see them all switch to green. The only time you'll see anything happen is during an update. Wi-Fi turns off completely to attempt update download. Others you'll see turn off if you sitting in truck doing manual updates.

Thanks @fordtruckman2003 , I agree but do you suppose "ECG" green means the Engine Control Gateway is connected to ?

And TCU green means Telematics Control Unit is connected to ?

And Analytics green is connected to Ford server (data base)?

Or is green indicating they are functional, in use, or something else?

I suppose Wi-Fi green means connected to a router but may also mean connected to the Internet (TCP/IP through said router). You?

Also, I would think WiFi doesn't turn OFF if I have enabled connect to public WiFi as it would get the update there (as opposed to cellular)?

Similarly, I suspect Cellular green mean either connected to the WAN (Internet) or is it indicating connection to the Ford servers?

I am a curious cat (don't kill me) and so want to understand not just what they are but what they are indicating.

@FordTruckMan @Airborne_Ape @Snakebitten @HammaMan @Livnitup yous is smata then me, thots?

I suspect, green for most of them mean enabled or error free more than connected. It feels like a quick diagnostics look ??‍♂

The icon labeled WiFi is green in my truck when I start it in the morning.
(actually they are all red for a few seconds and then quickly turn green)

I then back up about 100 yards to the chicken coop and turn. It's still green.
Then at some point before I get to the mailbox, about 200 yards from the chicken coop, it turns red.

That's my way of explaining that it's the indicator for the truck being connected to an SSID of an external 802.11 access point. :)

So your truck has an indicator of when you've arrived to the chicken coop? SWEET! Must be time for some bacon and eggs. ??
