So I ordered a 2022 F150 Lariat back in November of 2021. I took delivery of it in January of 2022 and the MSRP was $62,995. I’m in a situation where I have stipulations by my work vehicle plan that requires me to trade every couple of years. I was just curious so I built a truck on Fords website of the same trim level and as closely optioned as I could get to the one I have and the MSRP was over $71,000 now. That is just utterly ridiculous! I enjoy my truck and have owned a bunch of cords over the years but I’m thinking I’ll have to go to something else next time. Anyone else is the same boat?
I just priced out a comparable MY23 XLT, SuperCrew, 6.5' box, PB, 4x4 with all the same options. The MSRP on my MY22, which I got Feb of this year, is $58,125. The exact same MY23, which I priced just now is $63,890.

2021 Ford F-150 Lariat Supercrew Powerboost
My 2021 Lariat Powerboost had an MSRP of $70,000 and change when I purchased in January of 2022. Just out of curiosity I priced my exact truck as a 2023, and it was $78,000 and change. I couldn't believe it. And I was lucky enough to pay well under sticker on my 2021. I can't imagine that possible now. I was really shocked.

If I didn't need a truck, I'd trade mine in now, make a bunch of money and get something with way lower payments than what I currently have that gets even better gas mileage.

MY 2022 PLATINUM AND AND A SAME EQUIPPED 2023 ARE THE EXACT SAME PRICE.

Ok. I ordered a 2022 Lariat fully loaded on May 11 of this year at MSRP for 75k. I never received a VIN from ford and they Cancled all 22 orders.

I ordered a 2023 Same build only I added 2kw package from Granger on October 4th MSRP 77k got 3% under for 71k. So even with the 2023 I am saving 4k because I am not paying MSRP.

Go granger if you have not already ordered, or are unable to change.

Also have a VIN with a Build date of 11/21. We will see if that holds but I am already further in the process than I as with my 2022. Hope it holds that way.

'22 F150 4x4 Lariat 500A SCrew 2.7EB 145"
This thread peaked my curiosity...
I just tried to price out a comparable MY23 Lariat, SuperCrew, 5.5' box, 4x4 with the same options, but there are a number of differences. Suffice it to say I could not build my exact truck in MY23.
My truck is a MY '22 500A (ordered April 26 '22, delivered 8/9 '22). A Lariat Standard, I think? a $500 discount was added in for this.
Today's price out:
First thing is:
MY22 Base Price: $55,105
MY23 Base Price: $61,270
That's + $6165, 11% ! Shocking? yes.
Space white is not available. There is a new white, Avalanche white, but it's different. No cost difference.
The only package choices today are Lariat Mid and Lariat High. Mid has two things my truck doesn't; B&O sound system and bright polish angular step bars. I do not see an option to delete B&O. If I recall, B&O was maybe $700?
Wheels choices are different, my truck has machined aluminum. MY23 includes Lariat Chrome Appearance package. There's a bunch of chrome stuff in there, wheels, mirror caps, door handles, etc.
Leather Bucket Seats with console cost me $600, shows "included" in today's price-out.
Things on today's price-out that my truck doesn't have that I couldn't remove (or figure out how to)
Rear Under-seat Storage
Universal Garage Door Opener

Things on my truck that I couldn't do on today's price-out:
Body color mirrors and door handles. The Lariat Chrome Appearance package eliminated those.

MY22 Base Price: $55,105
Options: $2980 (Comprised of 3.55 ELR, Onboard 400w inverter, Trailer Tow package, 36 gal fuel tank, Leather bucket seats w/Console)
Total: $58,085

MY23 Base Price: $61,270
Options: $2100 ($880 lower than mine, but it has all the options I paid for)
Total: $63,065

I'm liking my truck more and more. I feel lucky.

Yes, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the first price increase comes around Christmas this year like it did last year.
23MY price increase of $1K already happened. I ordered a new PB XLT and the day between when Granger sent me the quote and when I called to place the order, invoice went up $1K. I am pissed that I couldn’t order the same day, but the sales guy had already left for the day. This is truth, kind of sucks….

Even if by some miracle we could train 20yr olds to do it, we needed to start making those 20yr olds, 21 years ago.
There are plenty of 20 year olds around the world who would be happy to immigrate to the US. We just have to figure out what's in our best interest.

What I have been hearing from people more familiar with the industry than myself is manufacturers plan to combat reduced demand by offering interest rates well below what you can get elsewhere rather than deep discounts on MSRP.
Praying for this and some cash incentives early '23 when I'll be placing my order. Ford truck month is usually in March, right? Hearing anything about FTM this year?

@EpicHokie I haven't heard anything specifically about truck month but I'm guessing the November - March factory incentives will be the best we've seen in some time.

With the economy taking the downturn that it has, Ford better be offering some 0% or rebates otherwise I might not be taking my order.

0% financing days are over, especially for 60+ month terms.. feds have hiked interest rates too high and these manufactures will go under if they offered 0% financing. On the other hand i do realistically see decent to generous amounts of cash incentives in the near future.

When supply>demand, 0% will be back ... just one of OEMs incentive knobs to play.

FMC is just another of many profit centers from Ford. Unlike banks, they can basically set whatever interest rate that they want as it's all in-house. If demand is high they should just do whatever gets them more sales.

Yes Ford credit can set whatever finance rates and incentives to whatever they like correct. Problem is feds hiking up the interest rates is going to severely deter them from offering 0% financing. Ford was gladly offering 0% financing at the end of 2021 until middle of 2022. Ever since the feds hiked the interest rates couple months ago i have seen plenty of automotive manufactures quit offering the 0% financing incentives. Why give out interest free loans when you're being charged more to run a company Lol?
