Well I’m in the middle of updates right now, so far it has been easy and smooth. PCM, BCM, and ABS were all quick and easy, probably took 10-15 mins for those 3. Currently working on APIM updates, this is a big one. Been downloading up copying to USB for about an hour now and still have 3.5 GB to copy to USB. I assume IPMA will be the longest update. (Only had 5 modules to update).

I got a low battery warning at 12v and 60% charge (recommended min is 10v and 80%) so I turned up the maintainer to a 10A charge (from 2A). Is that an appropriate setting? According to the user manual the 2A is for smaller batteries andbigger batteries can use bigger settings. I would hate to screw something up or catch something on fire

Just a heads up on the drivers camera module, it made the wipers swipe about every 3 minutes the entire update for me, so lift your wipers up before you start.

Perfect, thanks. I’m at 12.8 now. I turned up the amperage and haven’t had any issues since
That update took me 1 1/2 hours last weekend. Be patient! When it says wait 5 minutes, give it at least 10. A tcu update will come after this. Install goes quick, but then another 10 minute wait.

No that portion was about 40 minutes, 40 files the trucks sreen will show progress update after 20 and then it will say finished
Hmm, we must not have had quite the same updates, mine showed no status bar, but it only took about 25 mins from the USB install. I just set a timer for 10 mins and then I’ll restart

Mines a 22, as you know, and I had the 40 file progress bar that you described. However that progress bar never behaves as I expect and I will close it and return to it in order for it to refresh and give some semblance of progress. :)

I've seen so many progress bars in all of my years and Fords has got to be the worst! Microsoft will say one hour and you can see it chunk along eventually after an hour and ten your done.
Ford , update starts, nothing for 20 to 30 minutes, then 1/2 done, then when finished nothing again the screen just dissappears!
Dumb.

I’m dreading this IPMA update… it’s almost 11 PM and it’s supposedly a 3 hour update. I don’t stay up much past 11 anymore in my mid 30’s with 2 young kids haha

I was with Billybob trying to install the license key on his computer. When I got home, I tried it on mine and it worked. It maybe the fact that he has a Apple running MAC software and Windows 11 on the same pc. Might be conflicting issues. We will be updating his truck this weekend, and he will have a new truck when we are done.
If using VMware or Parallels, then that would be an issue with most firmware during type applications. Best to boot directly into windows using bootcamp on the Mac.
