I received my F150 that was 'lightened' of these two standard features, SiriusXM and NAV. Upon receipt, scrolling though the screen indicates that neither of those options appears. There is no way to select Sirius XM and there are no 'NAV' capabilities at all.

I have two identical antenna 'bumps' on the rear of the cab which, according to Ford Authority:

'Andrew Surma of Ford Trucks communications confirmed to Ford Authority that the two “box like” items on the roof are in fact antennas, as we originally assumed. One of them contains the embedded modem, and the other is used for SiriusXM satellite radio. This is a big departure from the current 13th gen F-150, which uses a large “shark fin” antenna placed at the front passenger side of the roof instead. '

If that's the case, it appears that one of the shrouds may be empty or something other than the Antenna is missing from the package (maybe the Satellite receiver?) that is shared between SiriusXM and the NAV system. Maybe a Satellite Receiver chip(set)?

Has anybody delved into what is actually 'missing' for that $200 deletion?

I'd like to start investigating the ability to pull those options back into the mix if even by stealing parts from a junked 21.

So are you saying there is no GPS and map functionality? Or is it just the live update NAV stuff that got removed?

Here's a diagram of what Ford calls those two devices (a bit confusing regarding cellular antenna)

I don't have a dog in this fight or any similar fight, as I have my 2021 in my driveway and short of a lemon claim, they are not getting it back. I do, though, believe that the Big 3 are headed for a class action suit in regards to the cuts they are making to vehicles and offering little to no discount for those options. You had Max Tow on your order ($2,040), we are sorry to tell you we can't provide that, but we have discounted your truck $500.

My dealer said I should expect a chip for it in 6-8 weeks. Just delivered truck a week ago. I had the forced delete but have those 2 antennas up top.

It had all the parts just needs the chip? How much is you're dealing going to charge for the chip?

I am saying that Satellite radio does not show up under Audio and NAV does not show up n the productivity screen anywhere.

So I think I have determined a couple of things this evening. The Radio unit in the F150s comes in different flavors. MML3T-18K810-xxx appears to be the base number with alphas that follow that differentiate. AS nears as I can tell thus far is that a -Bxx radio is simply AM/FM and has one antenna plug on it, while a -Cxx radio has two antenna plugs on it, and is possibly Satellite and HD Radio depending on the other letters in the suffix. Not sure how this plumbs together but maybe a satellite receiver plugs from the antenna into the radio for that audio stream/control?

Anybody have any ideas of these suffix meanings on that part number?

Really. I picked up the 5 month long order result from Granger and they deal with a lot of these trucks. I understood I am out of luck with this truck.... nobody said anything about a missing chip ..... just the functions were gone.

Snakebitten, This is great info. IF I could figure out how to 'uncap' the right antenna cover, there may or may not be a circuit board in there for Extraterrestrial Radio.... Also, it appears I can find out what PN is on my ACM merely by taking off the top tray from the dash which appears to provide access to that portion of the dash? I wonder what the proper PN should be for a pre MAY22 F150 Lariat with the standard radio that included Sirius XM and NAV in their system.

Seems the description on the TCU may be off. It references the primary antenna as being in with the gps/satellite antenna but the pics illustrate that is the secondary antenna….?,

There's a fella (a real life hero to many of us Gen14 owners) who is an outright oem retro-fit genius on these trucks. He intentionally purchased an XL trim so that he could retrofit it with a whole host of features only available in fully dolled up trims. Let's just say he has a fully functional Bluecruise Camera 360 loaded truck in disguise...... It's an amazing accomplishment and he generously shares his knowledge and expertise with anyone who reaches out.

I bet if he read your opening post to this thread he could tell you exactly what you first need to confirm is or is not in your truck, and then what you need to acquire and retrofit. I'm not saying that you would be willing to, but I don't think it's a risk to say that you CAN if you want to bad enough. :)

I'm tagging @Jesse-Infotainment at the risk of putting him on the spot. Forgive me Jesse for being presumptuous.

there are two antennas on teh 21 f150. The passenger side is tri band (part number LC3Z19A390F ). It is diversity cell antenna Also GPS and SAT. THe driver side is a primary Cell antenna only.

The GPS/SAT has a single coax ran to behind the glove box that is then connected to a splitter to provide GPS and sat.

These configurations vary based on the truck if it has sat or gps. They all have the TCU. SO all will have two antennas on the rear.

The TCU is on the rear wall below the window behind passenger side seat.

They also equip the truck as its needed. So if you dont have GPS and or sat the antenna will not be tri band .

If you have Sync 4a 12" NON nav it pulls the GPS from the TCU so there is NO GPS antenna at the (APIM)
