Well reverting my one and only Forscan IPC edit for seatbelt minder did not change anything for me. So I am guess i stuck trying the CAN Bus tomorrow evening good night all.I think a ipc forscan change i did months ago may be effecting the ipc usb update i will revert those and retry usb before doing the can bus.

what is CAN bus ?Having an issue with my last update of IPC failing. It never see's the USB Double check format and retried 3 times failed every time. Anybody else seeing this lately =? Did you do the Can bus and if so did it take more then 3 hours via Can bus?
It is a type for communication protocol that Ford uses between some modules. I look at it as 1 guy sitting at a table of 12 women waiting to say something, very slow.what is CAN bus ?
is this done through the Mongoose adapter plug ? Sorry I am learning. My dealer had my truck for 8 days and left me with updates to do stillIt is a type for communication protocol that Ford uses between some modules. OR, as Google puts it....
The CAN communication protocol is a carrier-sense, multiple-access protocol with collision detection and arbitration on message priority (CSMA/CD+AMP). CSMA means that each node on a bus must wait for a prescribed period of inactivity before attempting to send a message.
Yes through the Mongoose if not updating through USB I think it’s CAN.is this done through the Mongoose adapter plug ? Sorry I am learning. My dealer had my truck for 8 days and left me with updates to do still
what error message was it giving you? i had to switch computers for the process plugging directly to apim. it didn't like my old laptop for some reason.Ok, I am trying to finally join the cool kids club. I took the console apart for the module repair which was much easier to do than I expected. The mongoose connected and did fine on the USB portion of the module repair, but kept failing on the ethernet portion. I'm guessing I have a bad connector.
Since it was late last night, just ran as many modules as I could and am down to just the APIM and GSM module updates (at least for now). I just have the USB stick in the truck and hoping it will do its magic soon.
Anything else I should be doing at this point? After work I may try to go find another USB to Ethernet adapter and see if I can get it to work.
VIN is 1FTFW1EDXMFB09093
It was asking me to check the ethernet connection. But, I got really really lucky and when I was getting ready to unhook the USB and noticed the screen said "System Updating".what error message was it giving you? i had to switch computers for the process plugging directly to apim. it didn't like my old laptop for some reason.
I need to step away for a bit, but can anyone see how much more I have to go? My VIN is 1FTFW1EDXMFB09093
Here you go.If you are only seeing GSM and APIM in FDRS, that is all we will see either. A better idea would be to post your Sync Revision so we can see if the APIM really applied.
