Yes, it is. My truck is a brand new 2022 F-150 model and I see the same in my APIM info as well

Some moderately unrelated items:

- the freezing when using the bed and tailgate cameras in motion, i've not been able to reproduce the freezing when switching between the two. i've really been trying! haha
- all of the updates seems to fix the issue with the "trailer disconnected" alarm happening on certain trailers with LED lights.

Quick update for all, when trying to perform the TSB, I kept getting this error. Trying to figure out what is causing it. Jesse said Gateway, but no idea what to do next

Given the cost of the USB-A to USB-A cable and the USB Ethernet adapter, I think I may just buy them at some point to have them on-hand should I need them in the future. Could be $20 now to save me days of headaches down the road.

Nope, this is just a “fastboot” procedure to kick your APIM out of the failed 1.7.1 OTA purgatory. Once done, you need to proceed normally with FDRS and Mongoose cable to update your APIM. If you have a USB flash drive with your APIM update ready, you don’t need FDRS to kick off your update. Just insert your USB flash drive while your ignition is KOER, it should kick of within few minutes

It installs a base image on the APIM and then you use the USB to install the other items like voice, maps, etc.

Hopefully, they ironed out the issues because mine didn't install the Map application because Ford thought it was already updated so I was screwed and had to send my APIM to Jesse

yeah, this is (to me) the scariest outcome of all this: disrupting a data store or application that can't just be dropped back on via FDRS.

Try logging into FDRS with the flash drive in the USB port and running a self test on the APIM.

Tried this a couple times to no avail. Updated everything else except APIM. Adapters on order for TSB.

Oh that's a big one! I haven't driven my truck with my TT since I did all my updates but I'm looking forward to not getting that error message!

yeah, that is honestly why i went down this path. i dont really care about BC, i just wanted the alarm to stop going off.

You should care if you have it. Further down the road you may want to sell it. Someone asks you, 'Hey, does it have BC'? You say, 'yea but it doesn't work'.
I can see the toilet flush with do-re-mi dollars floating away.
If you paid for it, you want it to work.
