It's already done on Expedition and Explorer. I'm driving an Explorer Active right now as a loaner.

No idea if it's coming to F-150s also. Would not be surprised. Really doesn't bother me.

GMC also got rid of SLE and SLT and went with Elevation for the lower trim. They all follow the same trends.
we still have SLT in Canada but depending on the brand there is some major differnet in model naming and packages

I drive an XL which is short for extra large right. 🤔 Same as my shirt size. If they change the XL to Active I wont give a shit personally unless they change the XL badge to Active and then jack up the price to current XLT prices and market it as an entry level trim. If that happens then yes, I will be pissed and buy something else.

Ford's new "Active" badge is for the Expedition starting in model year 2025 and is marketing speak as the entry-level option for the Expedition full-size SUV. This trim replaces the previous base model positioning, offering a balance of essential comfort, modern technology, and capability at a more accessible price point that starts at around $62,320. 😬😳🫢😲

1. No Boomer knows anything more about WW2 than any other generation after you. You weren't alive for it. You either learned about it through stories or history books just like the rest of us. It's why you're called Boomers. You're products of the Baby Boom that happened after WW2 ended. Stop acting like it taught you anything.
As boomers, we grew up hearing the stories first hand from our fathers. A visceral sense for the horrors of war and the damage that fascism can do was instilled into us directly by the generation that fought against it. In my bedroom right now I have the insignia and brass from my dad’s Naval uniform, reminders of the horrors he lived through. We learned the history of WW2 first hand from those who lived it.

Lol. No demographic in all of human history has had it easier than the American boomer.
Wow. Just curious if your parents were boomers. If so I guess you don’t think too highly of them. Are they at least worthy of watching and raising the grandkids so their kids can afford to buy a nice shiny new F150? And maybe something flashy for the wife to drive.
