we had a hurricane blow through Houston a year and half ago. Most of Houston was without power for a day or two. The news was talking about local ford dealerships loaning powerboost trucks out to help power peoples homes that electricity meant life or death.
I didn't buy my Powerboost for the fuel economy, if anything, im a car dealerships favorite type of buyer, i did little research and I asked even less questions. I told them, I wanted a 4x4 and the Pro Power OnBoard 7kw, I didn't care about anything else. Gave them the most I would pay for...
fords been compromised, they were letting us destroy our engines with 0w20 (my 2018 5.0) so they could meet mileage and CAFE standards, just to get some government credits. Its not engineers that post these, it's the governement wing of ford that sets the oil standard
Hold the radio power button and the FF button while truck is running, the radio will reset, no data lost and it should work after that. I had the same issue this past few days and that fixed it.
Only buy the Powerboost if you want the 7.2Kw generator, if you are buying it for mileage you will be disappointed. there is a reason why ford does not market it as a Hybrid. Heck when i bought my 24 Powerboost I didn't even know it had hybrid capabilities. All I wanted was 4x4 and the 7.2...
I disconnected both 12v batteries for about 30 minutes then drove home from work everything is back to normal. I could be imagining it but the sync menu navigation seems to be crisper.
I bought it purely for cosmetic reasons as I thought it looked nice under the hood. After installing truck runs normal, temps are good no check engine light but the truck will not drop into electric mode. has anyone heard of this happening. Truck is 24 xlt, 7.2PB 8k flawless miles :)
if you are buying it for the mpg boost you will be sad. I bought it for the tech and the 7.2kw...the small mileage boost is a bonus. I live in a flat area just north of Houston. My commute to work is all stop light traffic, i have about 15 miles of that kind of driving (for the members in...
290 it works well, same with 45 and 59 but, BW8 has many tolls so the cameras shut it off every time you get near one, and 610 loop, to much traffic so its not enjoyable.
Oh yeah, i love adaptive cruise control, but Blue Cruise is prices, we usually do 1 major road trip a year, so Jun/July I will buy those months, then Sept and Dec. its $50 each time, but i just wouldn't use it the other times. If i get on the interstate/highway in town its Houston...blue...
If i have the auto hold option turned on, it feels like it bangs when I accelerate from a light. i think its just the brakes holding on. When i turn that feature off, my trans doesn't feel like it bangs when starting from zero,
