Wait until you get into some mud and it gets deposited on all the chassis to bed hardware back there.

I upgraded from a 2012 Nisson Frontier Pro 4X which did not come standard with wheel well liners. Every time I drove on a muddy road, the struts and area around the rear wheel would get plastered and packed with mud.

One of the first mods to my '23 FX4 RCSB was to add OEM rear wheel well liners, which I am pleased with to date.

I did it mainly for aesthetics. Ford didn't paint my wheel wells so the dark color of the Antimatter Blue contrasting with the grey-ish wheel wells was pretty bad.

Depending on where you live and what you use your truck for they are priceless for not letting your wheel wells get ate to sh#t, and as other have mentioned, accumulation of crap around your frame there.
these were well liners actually create a space to avoid for more material to get stuck. Since the bedsides are aluminum, the whole rust thing is pretty much a non-issue, but aluminum still does corrode.

A lot of people like the willow liners personally, I chose to not have a liner, but to use spray on bedliner

I got a great deal on some of the ones made out of similar material as oem front ones...more of a fiber/cloth texture. I really like them on my silver truck...didn't like the light wheel wells. As far as cleaning so far I haven't had to do anything extra.

I had a 2021 GMC Sierra SLT before this truck. All SLTs came with felt wheel liners in front and rear. I’ve always hated that Ford goes so cheap and does not include rear wheel liners as standard equipment, especially on XLT and higher trims. My Oxford White Lariat looked horrible without liners. I just installed Ford OEM liners about a month ago and the difference is substantial. It looks 10 times better than white painted metal and of course the huge bed gap is covered now too. 100% recommend. You’d think Ford would want their run of the mill XLT and higher trims to look a little better from factory. Without the liners it truly looks unfinished and honestly, unsightly for a $70k truck.

Damaging road grit and salt is plenty easy to clean out when it's not trapped behind plastic liners.
I ran husky liners for three years, three northern Michigan winters.
Before trading the truck, I pulled the liners to use on my new truck. The inner fender area looked like the day I bought the truck. I’ll take the protection of the liner keeping the salt off the fender and frame in the first place.
If you live where I live you won’t enjoy those bare fenders for long. Good luck.

Good to hear, thanks for posting your experience! My wheel well photo above was taken after 3 years of service. I really enjoy the original as built by Ford look. I'm just happy that my care and usage doesn't mess them (or the rest of the truck) up.

Black plastic is just too "yawn" for me. Aren't practically all vehicles black in there? Matching body color and the intricate design stamped into the metal by the factory looks stylish! Just have to keep it clean, which is no problem for me.

It’s nice to hear that not everyone needs/wants them.
I’m basically a stock is best kind of guy, but find them a worthwhile addition.
The older set wouldn’t fit my 2024, so I bought the new Husky’s which are a little nicer than the last gen.
They hang much lower than OEM, and Husky left more clearance around the shocks, on the new style. I’m guessing say they don’t hide the fancy shocks
many use.
I’m not yet dissatisfied with the factory shocks,,,,yet.
Most likely go 5100’s when I upgrade, having the 6112’s on the front.

Always nice to see the Husky Liners love! For my truck, it was about keeping the mud and dirt off of the shocks. It's a daily driver and does plenty of traveling for the family, so it unfortunately doesn't get a break long enough for time to bathe it. Keeping those components as clean as possible in-between washes was a must, and the Husky Mud Guards and wheel well liners did the trick!

I custom ordered my '21 and got the Ford-installed ones from the factory. Happy I did, but was kind of strange to have a completely bone stock, 13 total miles truck have the tires rub on the wheel liners when the steering wheel is fully cocked to the left or right. I only notice it when backing up, and it's not yet rubbed a hole in them lol. Seems like it's made out of the same fiber stuff the undercarriage 'diaper' is made out of, maybe, so I expect it to rot away at some point.

Strange. Something’s outta whack, especially if you’re running stock rims and tires, assuming yes since you mentioned it being an issue with only 13 miles on it. And I thought front wheel well liners are included in all builds, regardless of trim level.

I agree with what the Northern Michigan guy said. I live in the UP and I had a set installed with my points when I bought the truck in 23. Not only does it keep the ice, snow, and mud away it also significantly reduces the noise if you use gravel roads at all. Before the wells were installed I drove it a few days and on gravel roads it sounded like a popcorn machine rattling around in the back end on gravel roads. I’d do it on every truck I buy from now on.
