@hotrodmex I don't disagree, but the screen cover on the dash suggests that they are hiding something.
I would guess the dash style from the Super Duty before a larger screen. Since they didn't go vertical on the new SD, I am also continuing to lean hard away from that orientation.

Anything's possible, I just don't think it's supported explicitly by evidence yet.

One thing that I haven’t seen mentioned yet is the possibility that maybe this is the lightning? Or that it’s a test mule with random parts?

I do know the expedition has an optional 15” screen as well though, so it could still be the gas model, and likely isn’t a standard screen. Maybe that’s a lariat high and above screen? Too many possibilities to know for sure yet

I just know I'm really, really, happy with the 12" landscape display in my 2022 Lariat (along with everything else!); and relay, really, happy that I won't be shopping for a truck in 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 ..... (y) . :ROFLMAO:

What exactly yells "vertical" here? Looks like the same screen to me.
Exactly, that is not the vertical screen!!! ?‍♂
That's the same 12" horizontal screen we have now once you look closely. Just a crappy picture they got and Ford Authority didn't know what they were looking at apparently and needed some clickbait headlines.

I'm definitely a homer and I prefer the Ford setup, BUT this still looks pretty nice. Do you think it'll actually have the temp readout on the dials?

Why wouldn't they? It wouldn't surprise me that Ford and GM use the same vendor. My Platinum has the temp readout on the dials.

The temp readouts in the 22 and 23 F-150 was removed from the dials. Most of the stock photos still show them as available though.

I was being cheeky more than anything though. I hope it does have the readout on the dials, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see it was removed

Gotcha. Chip shortage. And yes, you are correct. Lower trim levels lost them on GM models. Still on the the Denali's. I'm going to be ordering a GMC 1500 Denali Ultimate. It'll be a first GM truck for me. Crazy.... I've had plenty of GM cars just never a truck. Mostly because they didn't have rear seat a/c vents until the new refresh.
I had the stupid "tablet" on a 2021 Explorer King Ranch and hated it. I like the landscape design on this F150 over the portrait on my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited. I'm not liking this new portrait design on the next F150.

Looks like this is just crappy reporting on a crappy picture. If you look at a couple of previous replies it looks like there’s no actual indication that it’s portrait orientation or moving the physical buttons.

What about the rest of the trucks? How do they compare? Interiors, ride, features etc... If you could only have one, which would it be?
Your question to me is like "do you want a blonde or brunette?" Lol
Both have their pros and cons in regards to the interior, exterior, powertrain and etc..
I do personally prefer the more not "squared" body style on my Ram but at the same time still appreciate the Ford for not going retarded like GMC/Chevy did with their current day body style. I will say that Forscan is a huge f*cking game changer for me since my other vehicles i have owned in the past did not have any capabilities like Forscan does. Ram owners do have a similar platform called "ALFAOBD" but to my knowledge, one is very limited when it comes to making changes to the truck itself as opposed to Ford owners. I also do believe statistically that Ram trucks are lesser costing than Ford trucks when equipped options are equivalent (cheaper doesn't always mean bad imo). I could go on for days about this one but instead i will just answer any specific questions that you folks have from here on out Lol.

I have a '22 Expedition with the 15.5" vertical screen Sync4.
I thought it would be awesome and it does have a lot of raving reviews but for me, I don't like it at all. Should have optioned it with the 12" similar to my truck.

I think the picture is misjudged. They’re probably going to do the same thing as the Super Duty with the single binnacle design. That’s why the screen is covered on both sides, to hide that so it looks like it’s a vertical screen. In all actuality it’s probably the exact same horizontal design.
