I have 2023 XLT 302A Crew Cab 3.5L and I was wondering if anyone else has had their HVAC blower motor seem to surge or pulse at times? I don’t use the auto climate control as I prefer just a constant flow of air and I’ve noticed that it seems to lighten up and then speed up and back again on its...
Hi all. I finally bought an F150 after driving Rangers for 25 years. I got a 23 XLT Screw with the 3.5L. Absolutely love it. I’ve got 1200 miles on it already and was wondering if I should change the oil now? I don’t know if they put break in additives in the oil from the factory. I don’t think...
For those of you with remote start and push button ignition, how long does your vehicle idle? Also, if you start the truck from inside and leave with the key in your pocket, how long will it run? Is there any way to change this in the settings? I idle the hell out of my vehicles and I’m curious.
I had heard some of the guys saying that about their 2022s. I wonder if they ever went back to the EIWEs on the 23s since the chip shortage is over. Good point, though. I overlooked the fact that he said it was a 502a.
How much play are you talking about? Keep in mind that when it is in 2WD, the front hubs are disconnected and the TC is not engaged, so it should be quite possible to have play in the front driveshaft. Put it in 4WD and see if there is play then.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have over 100k on their 2021+ 5.0 or 3.5? I’m torn between these two motors. On the one hand, the 3.5L is a beast. It makes great power and pulls like a freight train and I’ve heard great things about the reliability. On the other hand, the 5.0 is a beast as...
I was looking at the engine specs on the 2022 F150 5.0 and then looked at the 2023 5.0 on the site and it doesn’t mention anything about the variable cylinder management on the 2023s. Anybody notice this?

I think the picture is misjudged. They’re probably going to do the same thing as the Super Duty with the single binnacle design. That’s why the screen is covered on both sides, to hide that so it looks like it’s a vertical screen. In all actuality it’s probably the exact same horizontal design.
Sometime around 2022 MY if I remember correctly, they stopped including IWEs on the regular 4A TCs.
That makes sense. It probably has to do with the chip shortage since they switched to electronic IWEs.
I heard they are gonna dump the 10R80 and replace it with the 10R100. I bet they change the dashboard to the single binnacle design like the Super Duty, too. That would be cool.
Like i said in the first line of my post “I know it’s a pipe dream”. I never said I thought they would. Current market trends make that an impossibility. I was just asking if anyone else would like to see that because I sure as hell would.
Do you do a lot of city or highway? The 5.0 is a great motor. I just don’t trust that cylinder deactivation yet. But it looks like ford is having a lot better luck with it than GM and Chrysler have.
I know it’s a pipe dream but does anyone else want to see Ford drop that 6.8L V8 in the F150? I’d love to have a pushrod V8 with no cylinder deactivation in a half ton again.
So upon further screwing with the website, you can configure it the way I want but you have to click on the i next to seating and click that option. It’s the only way it comes up. They do need to fix this BAP. Like someone said earlier, with all the time they had to do this, you’d think it would...
