Use the 240V outlet for standard household plug in's?

There is some stuff needing to be cleared up in this thread.

Codes are going to vary but while you may have several 20 amp, 120 Volt circuits in your panel box, you likely don't have many, or any, 20 amp receptacles.

This is a 15 amp receptacle and there may be 3 or 4 on a single 20 amp (12 ga wire) circuit.

This is a 20A receptacle and in my area, they are not common.

I have 1, dedicated (nothing else on it) GFI protected 20A circuit going to an outside location, in which I installed a 20A recep.

This will supply the TT when at home. Putting in a full 30A wasn't feasible. This one existed and just needed upgrading of the recep. and buying an appropriate, 20amp rated cord.

10 ga is a little overkill for this but will have less voltage drop over the distance.

I have 1, dedicated (nothing else on it) GFI protected 20A circuit going to an outside location, in which I installed a 20A recep.

Tried to use this as a PB back feed point but the truck trips every time.

Made a bonding plug but it made no difference.

DBL checked the circuit with a tester, it tests good. No reverse polarity etc.

Dbl checked the cord. its fine. Continuity where it is supposed to be. Plugged into the truck and the outlet is fine but as soon as I throw the switch at the outlet, it trips.

As mentioned, this is a dedicated circuit with a 20amp GFI breaker in a sub panel.

Every breaker in the house is off, including the main of course.

Think its the GFI breaker?
