Upgraded tow mirrors: yes or no?

If you order BAP, the mirror caps are black. The render provided by Ford is wrong. Same for the chrome line along the side windows. It is black, not chrome. The power-fold tow mirrors are incredible! I don't tow much, but I love the added blind spot visibility that they provide.

Them being black is good to know! I thought it looked dumb with the chrome when everything else was blacked out? That truck is gorgeous and mine should look like that! I also got antimatter blue and I love the way it looks with the black theme

Love the tow mirrors and wouldn't have a truck without them, makes driving so much safer with the wide field of view.I picked up a 2023 BAP with regular mirrors off the dealer lot. Then placed a order from Boosted Auto for tow mirrors which gave the option of having the forward light smoked instead of the factory which has a clear with chrome trim which looks like crap on a BAP truck.

I had the manual tow mirrors on my 2015 where I used them for 25K miles of towing. Great visibility but had to fold to be able to park in my garage. On my 2024, I went with standard mirrors. Visibility is still good and they sure do look better. Happy with my decision.

I ordered mine without TMs, because I already knew I was going to use a 3 camera system on my travel trailer.

Greetings everyone, I am new on this forum. Ordered a 24 Lariat with powerboat, black appearance, FX4 and max tow. My production date is the week of 9/15. Sales rep said I would be able to make changes up till then.

So when I was choosing the options, I originally wanted to get the upgraded tow mirrors for somewhere around $250. I occasionally drive HD trucks at work and I like being able to see more in the tow mirrors. I know it sounds ridiculous but when the preview of the truck was being shown I thought it didn't look right because the image preview was showing chrome mirrors on the rest of the black appearance theme and it looked "wrong" for lack of a better term. My girlfriend said it made the truck look like in had Dumbo ears so I decided to stick with the base mirrors.

Now I'm second guessing myself. Did you get the upgraded tow mirrors or stick with the original? Are you happy with them or would you change them?

Both of my trucks have tow mirrors and I wouldn’t have them without personally, I get more visibility issues with the giant drivers A pillar than the mirror

Just used them on a 550 mile run on vacation pulling a 25' boat. They work extremely well on this vehicle.

I say get them now for only $250? That’s a steal! Because trying to get them after your build will be a pain! I paid about $600 for my aftermarket Boost Auto’s manual fold and manual extend on my 2023 Rocky Ridge F-150 XLT because I’m not crazy about the power functions due to me not towing. I just love the look of tow mirrors on a lifted truck like mines! They make my truck look more aggressive. Before and after…

With a large load in the bed or towing a trailer the standard side mirrors are not adequate. The approaching vehicle alerts will be too late to avoid an accident.

With my 2500 truck I insisted that the dealer replace the standard mirrors with the GM tow mirrors before I would buy the truck. He was happy to make the change and did so at now cost to me.

You will never regret them. The only regret people ever have is NOT getting them. I had a loaner without tow mirrors and they are SHIT.

Another vote for the tow mirrors. I like them so much that if I couldn’t get a new truck with them it’d be a dealbreaker.

When I ordered a 2023 I was on the fence like you are and ordered it without tow mirrors. However , I ended up buying a 2022 that was almost identical in every way except the deletes and it had tow mirrors. It has a BAP, but it came with the chrome caps. Whatever Ford employee decided that was okay should be fired for poor judgement. It was the only thing I hated about the truck and bought new caps and had them painted the same color as my truck. Sounds like Ford has corrected that bad decision on the newer trucks.

Get them. Get them. Get them!
I didn't. Stupid mistake.
Even if you don't tow and will never tow - the panoramic bottom part of the tow mirror gives you a much, much better exposure area than the non-towing mirror. That alone will be helpful in each drive.
And just "in case" you need to tow something, sometime, you'll have them ready.
