I got an update the other day to fix an issue where the driver window would roll down automatically after you roll it up. I was pretty excited to see that update. Well now it just does it multiple times instead of once. This winter should be fun when it’s snowing or really cold. Anyone else get this awesome update? @Ford Motor Company any idea how to fix this?

I see that we have the same truck, Platinum PowerBoost, so maybe others aren’t having the issue. I have no idea if that matters but something I noticed.

When you say you got an update, do you mean an OTA update? I just got a notice about a power window update. Just want to figure out if I should turn off auto updates lol.

It was one of those automatic updates that happened overnight, same one as your picture.

I did a while ago and it seemed to have worked, it seems Ford programmed it to start doing it again. My truck seems to change settings pretty regularly when I didn’t do it, the technology is getting a little out of control.

Door modules that control windows and mirrors have been updated about half dozen times since 2021 models launched. They keep tweaking settings for some reason. ?‍♂

I got this update on Nov 24, 2024. Never had any issues with my windows before and still don't.

When I updated my truck using FDRS and mongoose cable, I did the DDM and PDM (driver and passenger door modules). The instruction on the FDRS mega thread on this site said you have to run the “power door window initialization“ in FDRS, so I did. The windows calibrated by going up and down several times during that procedure. But since your updates were OTA, that isn’t an option.

Look in your owners manual about windows bounce back and reset that (check in replacing the battery section). I believe it is close the window then quickly press and hold it up again for a couple seconds. This might accomplish the same thing as the procedure I ran in FDRS.

Had a rental 24 PB XLT recently. Had this issue with the passenger front window. I'm like "roll up window", window like, "maybe I will, maybe I won't". It went up and down couple of times. I finally just kept the button pulled up manually for a couple of extra seconds. Worked and it never did it again.

I got an update early this past Sunday morning, Enhanced Window Operation DDM-24.11.5. Assume it's the same thing. Didn't have the problem previously and the problem has not started.

Above procedure doesn't work on my 24.
Nothings I've tried has worked. Started a week or 2 ago.
Off till the dealer I guess.
