Truck Stalled

I was stopped at a slight uphill stop sign, got there the same time as another car, had the awkward standoff because they were to the right and wouldn't go, both started going at the same time so I stopped and let the truck roll back slightly. When I hit the gas nothing happened and I started rolling backwards, got a notification that I needed to shift to park and restart the truck, didn't think I'd have to deal with that in an automatic. Does anyone know why that would happen?

Also not a fan of losing both Google Maps and Waze through Sync 4.

I was thinking auto start/stop too. Usually turn it off but didn't that time.

You can disable it with Forscan.

Yep. Android Auto by the way, might make a difference. Also can't find the app anymore through Sync 4.

I use CarPlay. Lately I have been getting the occasional black screen when using Waze. “Most“ of the time it works, though. Not sure what’s going on.

You're good, I included it. I think either Google or Ford decided to make it incompatible for some selfish reason.

I've tried the interactive apps with my Android AND my iPhone and I’m not impressed.

I just use my Phone Apps and leave my Truck Screen for “truck stuff”.

Interesting article. I would say my black screens began after I updated my iPhone to iOS 16. I know that doesn’t help you but it’s food for thought.

Waze worked from the time I got the truck until about a week and a half ago, before my latest phone update but after the latest truck update. Google Maps hasn't worked for a couple months but I saw an article that Google was disabling it through Android Auto. Spotify has always worked and I haven't seen the black screen for Spotify, if they get rid of that feature I'll go crazy.

Since updating to iOS 16 (ran beta for months in the summer as well) occasionally I’ll have Waze and Google Maps fail to show my active location or show a black screen. Switching to Apple Maps works though. I think it’s a CarPlay issue on iOS 16.
