My busted ass ride is at the dealership as usual and now the transmission is torn apart waiting for back ordered junk made in China to arrive so they can put it back together. 200+ days of not driving my truck!

I've been considering making a vid on installing the solenoid shims to prevent the valve body failure. You might want to consider it.

Do it.
I know it's not for everyone, but if you are willing and able to drop that pan, it's not brain surgery to get to that valve body. Obviously I would expect warranty to be warranty, but I'm talking out of warranty.

By the way, are the shims you are talking about to address the same issue that the Sonnax 10R140, 10R80 Solenoid Stabilization Clip Insert address?

Really happy for @WhiteLightningnshitshadow though. These trucks are so much more enjoyable to own and drive with a well behaved 10r80.

I have rebuilt a GM 6L90 in my garage. Removing a valve body is significantly easier. The 10R80 is similar in architecture.

The hardest part of doing this in an F-150 would be getting the valve body back in correctly with the transmission in the truck. On a bench stand you can orient the transmission upside down and install the valve body with gravity. In the truck you are fighting gravity. Getting the seals to stay in place and get valve body pushed up evenly is hard.

Some of the Silverado 6L80 guys have gotten this wrong and had bad results.

Here is the link to Sonnax for the parts mentioned earlier:

https://www.sonnax.com/parts/5576-solenoid-stabilization-clip-insert

PDF of instructions at that link is lacking. Only describes the install with valve body out of the truck on a bench.

It would be nice to see instructions for removing valve body from Ford manuals before tackling this job.

My truck somehow destroyed its transmission with only 42,000 miles and got all new pieces including a valve body and solenoids and drives really nice now.

My trans has been off since Day 1 of ownership and is acting extra suspicious lately at about 33,000 miles. Dealers of course can't replicate anything, so I'm kind of hoping it grenades itself soon, too.

I did put in the Sonnax solenoid stabilization clip insert, and replaced the end cap with Sonnax end cap with o-ring for pressure valve.
It is night and day difference after that. (Still having the weird noise when gear changing, but not a big deal).

Nice, was it difficult to remove and re-install the valve body?
