Anyone else getting tire sensor faults after driving on highways for 1.5 to 2 hours? It resets when the engine is shut off. Once I get back up to speed and drive for awhile, the fault happens again. Doesn't happen just driving around town.

Only when I am towing, but it doesn't happen every time. The first time it happened I was worried I had a leak or a tire that might blow out on the highway.

I had that happen on my 2011 with a TPM faulting out after running down the highway. Replaced the TPM and the problem went away.

Yep , I had that as well.
anything over 95* and 10 miles on the hiway.
I could tell you exactly where it would fault on my daily trip home from work.

I have already replaced one at the beginning of July for the same issue and then I took a trip this past weekend and a different one is giving me the fault. I was wondering if it is happening to a lot of people. The first one I had replaced under warranty but I went over 36k this trip so my dealership said they would appeal it to Ford for this new one. We will see what happens.

Yeah, I've been having this issue as well with one of my sensors. Only on my commute home when it's hot out it seems.

I have an issue with the drivers front dropping out when towing. It’s happened since day one. In the past month I’ve done extensive testing to narrow down the issue. I use a voyager back up monitor with a 12v plug on it but since the 12v outlet is in the back seat (and doesn’t work, another story) I use a usb to 12v adapter. I’ve narrowed the source of the tpms failure down to either the adapter or the trucks usb ports. More testing is required to narrow this down further. It’s exhausting and I’ve lost interest in it for now.

For me, it’s easy to resolve the tmps failure. Unplug the usb to 12v adapter and wait 3 seconds for the truck to pick up the signal again. The failure is very random. It can happen every few minutes or I can go days without it happening.
I don’t know if this helps your situation but there are many trucks facing tpms issues caused my the inverter. TSB 23-2218

Update- Dealership called and said that Ford was aware of the problem and had issued a TSB.

I had one last year that kept dropping out on the driver front side for several months. It wasn't a specific tire and had to do with the body side sensor. The TSB was just coming out and the dealer said it was interference from my drive cam or phone. They suggested to disconnect everything from the USB ports and 12v plug. I don't recall that made any difference.

I didn't change anything and eventually it went anyway and hasn't been back since last year. Not sure if it was fixed in an OTA or something from one of my phones.

I picked up my truck early Aug 2022 and had my first sensor fault late July 2023 on the passenger rear wheel. FWIW I did have the dealer add brand new wheels, tires and sensors to my truck before I even took possession. Last month I had the dealer replace the faulty sensor only to have (3) more sensors fail in less than 1000 miles of the first replacement. One of the (3) new faulty sensors is the passenger rear wheel, which I had replaced with a factory sensor last month. I only have a USB C plugged in which has been plugged in to charge a phone since the first day I took possession of the truck. This is getting annoying.

Well the supposed TSB did not fix the issue. I took a long trip this past weekend and I got the fault on the same tire. Back to the dealership we go.

Did this issue ever get sorted out?

I just had mine in last weekend for the TSB (24-2122) and it faulted again less than 47 KM from when I took it in, so that includes the dealer road test and me driving home.

This has been going on for better than 10,000 km so far. Each time it can be one, two or three tires and not always the same tires or same order.

The first time they started the TSB last fall, they found they were missing a critical part, so they aborted and had me come back last weekend since they supposedly had all the parts now.

It still happens on occasion but a lot less than it used to on my truck. I have not driven long distance in the Florida heat so that could be the difference.
