i have that "pro work surface" or whatever they call it. I call it annoying. It's tough, i'll give it that, but i'd MUCH rather have a standard steel panel, with the same truck bed lining on it.
i wish i could just buy the non worksurface panel from the dealer, but it sounds like it wont fit.
We shouldnt have to do all this extra work just to keep the battery going. The vehicles charging system should be able to keep optimum charge, no matter how you drive the vehicle.
Ford Engineers know the extra demand on the batteries in todays vehicles... they should engineer them accordingly...
I'm getting the "some features disabled due to low battery voltage" or something like that.
I installed a new aux battery last year, but the 12v battery under the hood, is the original OEM battery, from 9-15-2021 when truck was built.
i don't drive every day, and have a short 3 mile commute to work.
I had a 2025 Lariat PB on order, and i decided to buy my 2021 at lease end, for just those reasons. Things added i didnt want, things goe that i wanted, and much more expensive for basically the same truck. I 'm glad i bought my 2021 !
that sucks, im sorry to hear that. I have a 21' Lariat PB. Mechanically, mine has been great (knock on wood), however... electronics and softawre, have been an absolute pain in the bumper.
the 3 recalls that were issued on my truck, i never have had a problem with.
I got the PB for the 7.2Kw...
never said "have" .... i hope none of you bitch about costs or packages ever again, lol.
except for a bunch of software glitches, i love my truck. i also have worked for Ford for 34 good years, and thats all i've ever driven in the last 40 years, and all i'll ever drive.
so please dont preach...
It's due to leasing the truck instead of buying it. If you want to keep leasing similar trucks, its getting harder to do so.
if you look at lease vs buy with no money down. Buying is about 2x the monthly cost, which makes most people want to lease.
I understand the inflation aspect. the base F150 only went up 2k. They've repackaged things to get buyers into a more expensive package/pricepoint... THAT'S the issue i have. I know, i've worked at Ford 34 years!
either way.. the new truck has been built for weeks, and isnt being relieased to...
I totaly agree, and feel your frustration. I have/had a 2025 Lariat PB FX4 on order. I hated the fact that it's virtually the same build as my current 21' PB. However, it's 11k more. I understand it's 4 yrs newer, but still. I was basically forced to upgrade on the package to get a couple of...
