I got the remote features disabled message numerous times and mileage is @ 20K miles. Had the dealer check it when in for another service issue and they said it tested fine. While at the service advisor desk finishing up paperwork, I received a message from Ford Pass that my remote features were disabled owing to a low battery charge. Perfect timing! They replaced the battery under warranty.

Going on vacation end of the week and didn't want anything unexpected. I just replaced my battery last week due to 'remote feature disabled' - $260 Duralast AGM H8....I've had one new popup since. Not sure where to go now, but going to dig around here and see whats next.

I took a hint from something @UGADawg96 tried and so far, so good.

After multiple recharges done as per the owners manual, incorporating the BMS in the charge, seemingly to no avail, I charged it straight to the batt terminals until fully charged and then immediately reset the BMS.

No warnings since and before, it was at every start up.

I'm certainly no expert on this but reasoning it through, it seems that somehow, the charge that the BMS thought the batt had and what it really had, were out of sync. Now, they're back in.

Resetting the BMS, appears to have lost audio presets and may have wiped other memory functions too but I haven't checked those yet.

Worth a shot.

Makes sense. The BMS is factoring in the age of the battery and making assumptions about its aged health. Someone at ford needs to search battery issues on the forum and send the results to the dipstick in charge of programming the BMS logic so we can get this shit fixed once and for all.

I have never heard of a dealer that wont make appointments and expects it to sit there for weeks, I have never have to wait more than a week to get in. I had the dreaded battery problems on my 21, once they replaced it the gremlins went away. I looked into buying a new one if the dealer didn't replace and Walmart has a highly rated H8 AGM for under $200. Good luck
I would consult the manual. I think H7 is the size for PowerBoost trucks.
