I've always been a supercab guy. It's a very rare occasion that anyone else would be in the truck other than my wife and I. The 6.5' bed is great for hauling stuff where the 5.5' leaves a little to be desired especially at the lumber yard. My 21 supercab is a 500a Lariat ( no longer available) with the front bench seat, in this configuration the truck has the advantage of being able to seat 6, very tightly of course, wouldn't want to do this on a long trip! But on a short trip it's doable. The crew cab can only seat 5.
Doing away with 500a was a mistake in my view, being able to get a Lariat (SuperCrew -or- Supercab) with the front bench through 2022 was a huge selling point for me and will have me holding on to my truck far longer than I would have otherwise.

I completely agree with you on that. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I will do next as well. I will be keeping this truck for a while though, so there's plenty of time to look around. ?

Supercab Lariat Powerboost was my dream. Upon waking up from that dream I ordered a 157" WB Powerboost XLT chrome package so I got the column shifter. I definitely don't need the CC and would prefer the Supercab but I boondock camp and didn't want to carry a generator or power station so here I am.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
After my special order 23 F150 SuperCab was totaled with 1800 miles on it, I found out I could not order a 24 XLT SuperCab.

To me that is a way better looking truck than the 4 doors with the 3" rear door. The suicide doors are very nice for hauling no one, but it is easy to put stuff in with suicides. I have actually ridden in the back seat of a 2022 on a 225 mile trip. It is not bad seating at all. My son-in-law carried 2 girls in car seats in the back of his 2006.

I had to buy a used 2021 Lariat. It is a nice truck. My 2023 XLT had column shift. My 2021 has console shift. It eats a lot of unnecessary room, but at least my truck goes faster with the console shift.

My 2014 was a Supercab 6.5' bed. I went with the Supercrew 6.5' bed for my 2023. It's a really nice cab, great for putting stuff in the back seat. Also fits my kids and dog better. But I am alone about 2/3 of the time and the 157" wheel base is definitely harder to park than the 145" [the 360 degree camera does make up for a bit of that].

Both have their place, I'm not sure what I'll want next, but the Lariat is a nice upgrade over the STX.

I am a Supercrew/long bed guy for life now. Or Screw/medium bed as the purists would call it. 360 Cameras converted me. Quick u turns in heavy traffic are my '21 157" wb truck's only limitation. Otherwise it's easier to maneuver than my stubbie bed 04 Dakota or 09 Tundra Crewmax due to the cameras removing the guess work from every scenario. If the physical space is there I can parallel park on a busy downtown street in my truck as quickly and easily as I can anything else.

And I have a good bed extender for rare occasions when I need 8 Feet.

I no longer see any reason to compromise on bed or cab length. No more 5.5 footers for me. Long wheelbase truck feels very livable now.

Super8s are the best riding trucks out there. SuperCab is the only way to get an 8’ and some room in the cab. At least it was when I bought mine in 22. Lucky I got it when I did.

I sure liked mu 2014 which was a Super Cab w/8' box. It had the HDPP option so it had to have the long box. Best driving, best handling truck I ever had, especially when pulling a travel trailer.

2014 XLT 3.5EB Super Cab, MaxT, 36 Gal. I bought it in 2018 with approx 70k. I traded it in earlier this year with 98k on the ODO. Painless transaction through a local FORD dealer, I got 18K out of it which I used towards my current 2023 XLT.

The only CON is that the 36 Gal tank was an option this GO around on the MaxT.

Interesting, the 2021-2023 Order Guides all show the 36 gallon tank included with Max Tow with a few exceptions that don't seem to apply to your truck (following is clipped from the 2023 Order Guide):

MAX TRAILER TOW PACKAGE (53C)
>
Includes:
>
• 36 Gallon Fuel tank (NA w/ 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 (99D), or Heavy-Duty Payload Package (627) on XL Regular Cab)

Are you sure your truck has the Max Tow Package (vs one of the other two trailer tow packages available from 2021 to 2023)?

I'm partial to your 2018 SCab, but your 2023 SCrew looks nice, too! :)

and as an addition.....my dogs demand a full size rear door, and wide spaces in the passenger area behind the front seats  ?
my old 02 super duty crew cab with the built in rear full sized couch..we took that out so dogs could have a large area to lounge while we drove them places

Not at all surprised, a lot of super duty class working folks want / need a cab that can accommodate a work crew of big people comfortably.

In past days a crew cab was used to carry crews to job sites. Now they are primarily used as a replacement for a minivan to be more macho alternative for their owners. Not surprising as one sees the Humvees being driven by people who clearly have no intention of venturing off the pavement.

2014 SCab! :p

My sheet says this, the truck was originally for the Canadian spec market. Here's a screenshot of the build sheet.
