Well you
I agree - the battery pack is under the bed, so it seems like it should be doable on the SuperCab. Probably not worth the extra engineering costs for a fairly low volume config, unfortunately.
Know
4 to 6 inches of tube or wire changes probably sent auditors into a tail spin

The 5.5 bed that comes on 99% of them is a joke and neuters the truck.
Maybe it's not for you, but that's no reason to disparage a configuration that many folks obviously find quite suitable for their purposes.

There are many owners of Escape 5th-wheel trailers identical to mine who tow with a SuperCrew + 5.5ft bed, enjoying the benefits of a larger cab or higher trim-level on a 145" WB. Those trucks / rigs are in no respect a "joke" or "neutered" by the configuration. Yes, even with the 5.5ft bed that trailer can be 'jackknifed' on a fixed-hitch (non-slider) same as my 6.5ft bed allows.

There's lots of needs that can only be satisfied by a bed, even a short one!

While you're editing the table a foot note, the max seating capacity in a Crewcab is 5, *SuperCab 6 in certain configurations. ?
I see OP already responded, so yeah, typically special order, but they're out there. Special ordered my '21 Lariat with the front bench seat. Only way i can get the whole family in (and a hard stipulation from my wife). ?

Yes, they are! I ordered my 21 with the bench seat as well. For me there's just something in my mind that says a bench seat is right for a pickup. Reminiscing of my high school days with my first truck back in the late 70's, a lot happened on that bench seat back then. ?

When I was shopping for an F-150 with a 6.5 ft bed and the large gas tank and rear electronic locking differential there were only two such trucks available in the state of Calfornia. Both had the super crew cab and the very long wheelbase.

If I had it to do over I would have not bought a truck in 2022 and waited for a super cab truck to be available. In April of 2022 special ordering a truck was not feasible so I would have placed an order in 2023 and waited who knew how long for it to be delivered. Much the same with Ram 1500 pickups which was the best alternative to the F-150 trucks.

I hate driving the long wheelbase truck that makes getting in and out of a parking space a pain and I avoid 90% of the available spaces where the truck cannot fit in them with its large turning radius. My previous truck had the Chevy equivalent with the double cab and the same 6.5 ft bed on a 1-ton chassis and no problems manueuvering anywhere.

The dealers order trucks with the super crew cab and the 5.5 ft bed 99% of the time. Even when they order the max tow package they neglect to order the larger gas tank - go figure!

Struggled with the decision of choosing a Lariat Supercab with the 6.5’ bed because of the extra features that I could get over a regular cab in addition to the Lariat trim being the best value in 2021 if you wanted a lot of options.

In the end though, the extra bed length is something that I have used much more than the extra seats and the regular cab with the 8’ bed is about as long as I can get away with and still park in cities.

I feel that the Supercab has the best proportion of the various configurations and it’s too bad dealers don’t stock more. I disparage crew cab trucks every chance I get because it’s next to impossible to find a decent condition regular cab truck anymore because most truck owners let themselves get peer pressured, brow beaten or otherwise not given much of a choice. I hated my crew cab Silverado and it was completely not what I needed but it came along at a good deal but the compromise in bed length and then having to be the guy who drove everyone around because I had the comfiest, roomiest ride easily put an extra couple thousand miles a year and needless door dings in busy parking lots.

Still, I understand that some folks need / prefer a SuperCrew, as long as you get what works best for you, No Worries! :)
OK, a Powerboost Lariat supercab, with rear seat delete, please? What are the codes for this?

Back in 1973 when I first started motorcycling, Kawasaki made both 2 and 4 stroke bikes and their slogan was" Different strokes for different folks"! This applies to Super cab vs Super crew. It's what works best for you. For me it was a 157 wb super crew, it's what works best for us, but it's not what will work for others. It's a shame that Ford restricts Super cab to the lower trims, just like Ford, Ram, and Gm only sells a short bed on their top trim. If I want a Platinum plus, Ram Tungsten or a GMC Denali ultra, I can only get a short bed where I would want a longer bed, but I'm sure that I'm in a very small group that feels this way.

Check your tool box for the codes, they will be something like 15 mm, 17 mm. 19mm or 3/8, 9/16 or say 3/4. Codes are for the wrench sizes needed for the rear seat delete option . Sorry , poor humour but couldn’t resist knowing that it’s frustrating not to have those types of options.

Since 2005, I've had 3 new Ford trucks. I started with a 2005 XLT Super Cab, with 6.5" box and 145" WB. It of course had the old 5.4L Triton V8. Pulled a travel trailer from Virginia to the beach in downtown LA in California. Trip lasted a total of 8,000 miles.

In 2014, I got a new truck with the HDPP. I wanted a good tow vehicle. I wanted good tow truck. I was only going to trade if the dealer could find me that unicorn. He found 4 at 3 dealers in PA. I wanted a Super Crew since we now had 3 grand kids. But alas, all were Super Cabs again. Of course HDPP trucks had to have the longest wheelbase available, so my new truck was a Super Cab with 8' box, with the 163.7" WB. This was the last of the steel body Ford's. Used it to pull a 27' TT 9,000 miles from VA, to FL, to the 4 Corners, to Utah, to Idaho, to Wyoming, to Montana, to South Dakota to Michigan to home.

By 2021, I had gotten tired of carrying 2 Honda generators and the necessary gas so naturally I cast my roving eyes toward the new Hybrid trucks with the 7.2 Kw generators on board. We do a lot of boondocking camping. I had to order one since I needed to squeeze out as much cargo capacity as I could since they all are CC challenged. This time I was able to get a Super Crew with 6.5' box with 157" WB. Ended up being a 2022 model though.

When I went to sell my super duty truck with the Chevy double cab I had quite a few potential buyers who were turned off by the smaller cab. They wanted a 6 ft or taller person to be able to sit for long periods of time in the rear seat.

Not at all surprised, a lot of super duty class working folks want / need a cab that can accommodate a work crew of big people comfortably.
