  1. Anyone added back the removed CHMSL camera - AKA bed camera?

I was able to check out the lights with the trailer light check tool from my phone before forscan changes.
  2. If Ford called you tomorrow asking for one design change… what are you telling them

    - 360 Cameras should be usable as a dashcam. This is something that a subscription could be reasonable for if you were to access it from e.g. Fordpass. - More payload. Maybe an air suspension option to go with it, so you can have a nice ride as a daily driver; but still load it up on occasion...
  3. Opinions on bed liner and flip top tonneau covers

My factory bed liner on a 2023 F150 is peeling off on the tailgate after only 27 months. The Rhino liner my first truck came with lasted for 8 years w/o any problems. The dealer had me go to a local body shop for them to get a warranty estimate, but after a month nothing has actually happened...
  4. Extra Clip after pulling back Drivers Side Carpet

Thank you so much. That was super obvious once you told me the answer. There's always a balancing act when removing these things about pulling hard enough to actually get a trim piece (or in this case carpet) off without breaking something.
  5. Extra Clip after pulling back Drivers Side Carpet

I ran a Weboost antenna through the hole for power running boards below the driver's foot area. I needed to take the plastic panel around the parking break and the scuff plate underneath the door off to get access. Afterwards I have a large round clip that I saw above the carpet, which I can't...
  6. Supercrew longbed 157 Popularity

I've only towed things twice with my last truck (picking up a power tool and some wood slabs); but I do use my bed regularly. A 6.5' bed is non-negotiable. On my last truck I had a 145" WB with a supercab; this one is a 157" with a Supercrew. The 157" is noticeably harder to turn and park -...
  7. Tow Mode vs. Normal Mode For 6x12 Single Axle Trailer

I'm sure that you're fine in any of the drive modes. The truck has a sensor on the transmission, so if the temperature gets too hot it will go into "limp mode". I learned this on my 2014 when the transmission cooler hose blew and I had to get the truck towed to the dealer. It's meant to stop...
  8. Payload Capacity: C'mon, is it REALLY Important?

The only thing that keeps me in a 1/2 ton instead of ordering a 3/4 is that the F150 is under 6000lbs and can be driven on a parkway in NY. I want a bed in my truck, not a cap; so a reasonably equipped F250 can't be registered as a passenger vehicle.
  9. Are these all factory tie down areas?

I have 4 ratchet straps, I usually only use 1 or 2 at a time. I like the bungees that have a hole instead of two hooks; since you can always get it to be the right size for whatever you're trying to tie down: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076QDB5H9?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1...
  10. New updated Max Tow axles installed

Is this applicable to all 2023 Max Tow F150s? Ford's recall form tells me that I have no open recalls or customer satisfaction programs. My window sticker does have the charge of $2215 for "Max Trailer Tow Package" and separately "3.73 Electronic Lock RR Axle" with no charge.
  11. Anyone added back the removed CHMSL camera - AKA bed camera?

On my 2023 Lariat, I was able to use the FORSCAN programming with a NIB NL3Z-13A613-A that I got from eBay for $315; the install went fairly smoothly. I was able to use a borescope to verify I had the connector and then disconnect the clip for it, pull the connector through and swap it out...
  12. Reasonably priced tonneau cover

I bought a Worksport AL3 for just about $700. It keeps the rain/snow off my tools, not perfectly but well. It works with my Backrack and is easy enough to remove and reinstall in about 5 minutes if you want access to the full bed. I like the look, which is fairly low profile.
  13. How to make Stowable Shifter fold down automatically?

I have no problem with the console or column shifter on my 2023/2014 F150; but to avoid the whole "stow the shifter thing" they could rip off the Honda pilot. You have a series of buttons on the console, with enough texture that you can figure out PRND by feel; and it would be flat enough to...
  14. SuperCrew vs. SuperCab comparison (specs & features)

My 2014 was a Supercab 6.5' bed. I went with the Supercrew 6.5' bed for my 2023. It's a really nice cab, great for putting stuff in the back seat. Also fits my kids and dog better. But I am alone about 2/3 of the time and the 157" wheel base is definitely harder to park than the 145" [the...
  15. Worksport AL3 Pro Hard Tonneau Cover

I was able to install this cover with the Backrack 50123 tonneau cover adapter. The 40123 kit has bolts that come above the stake pockets, which the cover is about 1/2" too wide for. The cover is easy to install and take off if I don't want to use it for some reason. I drove about 400 miles...
  16. What do you want/expect out of the Gen 15 F-150?

    - More payload. Instead of dropping HDPP they should have added it as an option to Lariat, KR, Platinum. - 360 camera package should record on motion and save it like a built-in dashcam (if you want it to). - Actually update the Blue Cruise software. - Since it is getting cold and my 2023...
  17. Worksport AL3 Pro Hard Tonneau Cover

Does anyone know if the Worksport AL3 would work with a Backrack? Do you think it will open and secure properly with the rack? Also, I'm guessing that it would bet he 40xxx bracket for inside rails instead of the 50xxx bracket for outside rails. It isn't on the Backrack compatibility guide...
  18. vs. CyberTruck - A fair shake

From https://www.thedrive.com/news/26907/you-dont-need-a-full-size-pickup-truck-you-need-a-cowboy-costume: "According to Edwards’ data, 75 percent of truck owners use their truck for towing one time a year or less (meaning, never)." My last F150 had a trailer behind it 4 times in 8 years; and...
  19. Power Rear Window. a must or nice to have?

I didn't have it in my 2014. I have it in my 2023. I have only opened it to prove that it works. I think I prefer it without, because between the Backrack and the extra lines for the window, there more clutter in the rearview mirror with the window.
  20. Handheld Vacuum

I have a Dewalt 20V/120V hybrid, which is quite convenient. I wouldn't leave it in the truck because it takes too much space, but it is great for cleanup compared to hauling out something bigger.
