Miss my XLT reg cab but having an XL reg cab work truck is the next best thing (except no whipple lol). I was worried about changing anything but talked to my fleet manager to see if I’ll be given the option to buy at the end of the lease and she said that they will offer it at wholesale to the employee before turning it in so I spent 5 hrs yesterday working on replacing most of the interior (worst case if I leave or something I only need a few hrs to put it stock).
I’m going to find some seat covers at oreillys or something for now just to get the seats black. The only thing I haven’t done that I have most of the parts for is the digital cluster conversion.
Actually It’s funny that I pulled all this stuff out of the XLT before I traded it in So no money out this time around.
The big difference is the lower panel below the glow box is an airbag on the 23 where my 22 didn’t have that or at least I don’t remember having to work around it so didn’t have that rubber panel and it’s grey so have to source that or paint it black. I like the vinyl floors though as they have more padding and are easier to clean than the carpet.
The other things I have to work on is I installed the pro trailer and brake control as I have the wiring harness so future activation if possible.

Whats that extra roof antenna for ?
It’s a cell booster, I modified the XM antenna so I could bring it in the existing hole. Like my other truck when I converted back to stock I just put the non XM antenna back As it’s just double sided tape holding it.
‘I’m going to add powerunder the console and mount it there so I can bring the internal antenna up through into the forward compartment.

I was going to switch the steering wheel bezel but the XL finish doesn’t match so I’m a poser Raptor I guess. I still have some work to do like seats, console cover, airbag panel and I want to change the climate control then start adding the features like brake control etc.

Wow. Very impressive!

Now, be honest, are there no rattles after you took the entire dash apart and put it back with new parts? :giggle:

What truck is that interior out of? I wouldn't mind eventually swapping my XL interior over to something nicer too, I'm just not sure if I wanna get rid of the jump seat because I kind of like it. Looks like you went to the 12" display?

I'd be curious to see if anyone has pictures of all the different interior setups for the 21+ trucks to compare trim colors and styles.

@NavyChief Looking good! I swapped my entire gray interior over to black so it would have the stx interior look. I know a lot of people dye or wrap their headliners but I chose to go the oem route for everything so when the time comes if you're looking for an oem black headliner for a regular cab, here is the part number for it.
ML3Z-1551944-AE

It's expensive but it mounts right up out of the box. I found out Ford makes a black regular cab headliner for their xlt regular cabs with the baja tan interior. This is the vin # for a xlt with the baja tan interior and will help you get the part number for the b pillar trim which, again, can only come from this version of the f150

Actually it's pretty much the same as long as you don't break clips or lose those little blue things that go over the plastic slides.

Well thats a complicated question as I picked up things from alot of different areas

Full dash from ebay (STX version to get the all black plastics) and I threw away the inner plastic structure as it was bulky to store (also the most cost effective way to get all the little pieces)
Full console was ebay as well out of a Lariat (still have to change the lid color)
12" conversion (Screen, APIM, XM module) was infotainment as the wiring harness etc made it easy
Raptor steering wheel was off here I think
Door Panels were ebay (Lariat I think as it has the B&O grills)
Roof XM antenna was from dealership website
Digital Cluster was ebay
Cluster trim was dealer using my Lariat VIN

I have the following yet to complete the conversion

Dash Panels for cluster (I'm snatching a 24 XL VIN to see if the dash matches so I just have to buy the driver side)
Seat covers (I think the perforated leather for cooling upgrade)
A pillars and headliner, thanks @TylerNinetyTwo for that info and I found the B pillars it seems hc3z25278d12ae and hc3z25278d13ae maybe?
climate controls (want to upgrade to the digital knobs and heated/cooled buttons as I think I'll add that down the line once I own the truck)

I'm trying to keep everything completely reversable until I buy the truck just in case I have to change it back to stock for some reason and no I did not show my fleet manager the pics lol. I did show my manager and he just said as long as you show up to work Monday with a whole working truck

@NavyChief Yes those are the b pillars. I took a screenshot just so we're on the same page.

Also, make sure you get the correct instrument panel surround for your trim level. This is the piece on the driver side to the left and below the steering wheel. It's what surrounds your parking brake, headlight settings dial, etc. This is what it looks like on the ford parts website.
