Hi all,

Is there a Forscan hack that can reset your audio volume to a predetermined level each time you start your truck? If often forget to turn down the volume when I get home and would prefer a nice low volume then when I hop in the next morning.

Thanks.

I would appreciate this same feature. ESPECIALLY being able to turn down the ringer volume on an incoming call through Apple Play. Everytime my phone rings its incredibly louder than necessary. I have to keep the volume up for the conversation but there is no reason the ring has to come through the speakers. There are alerts on 3 screens to tell me there is an incoming phone call. I haven't taken my phone off silent mode in years so its always disturbing when the phone rings so damn loud through the truck speakers.

This is one of the joys of Sync4 and CarPlay. Put your phone on silent and Sync4 ignores that and blasts you out of the driver's seat by default. Turn the ringer volume down so your ears don't bleed when you get a call. Now you can't hear the conversation so you have to turn it back up. Then your ear drums take a beating the next call/text you receive. What's even more amazing is how it turns the ringer volume to max on the phone for no apparent reason after disconnecting form Sync4. So you have to turn the phone ringer down only for sync4 to say...

SO this is the same for others also.... i notice when i turn my volume down for my alarms they are going back up to full volume randomly but now I understand you that its SYNC4 that is doing that? well that answers that question at least. Is it any better in the new MY 2025 trucks?

The loaner 2025 F150 I had last week while mine was in for the 3/4 rear axle recall was no different. Well aside from it connecting to my phone considerably faster, the user experience was the same.

Given how much of a shit show the Sync system has been overall and how it disastrously implements Carplay I suspect it will be continue an absolute buggy mess until long after Ford launches the Sync4A (android OS based) version and tosses the QNX blackberry OS based version in the bin. What sucks is other infotainment systems such as Toyota and Kia (I know first hand) do not have the issues that Sync4 has with Carplay

I must be an easy customer for the SYNC system. I have had several SYNC systems in F-150's, Explorers, Expedition, and currently the wife's Navigator and this has really been my only complaint. its minor in my opinion but I have been so FORD loyal for so many years now that I really haven't experienced other brands Infotainment systems to compare. I don't know what i'm missing I guess.

Built in Wireless Apple Car Play was a nice upgrade from the wired Apple Car Play version and that was my biggest complaint with that system. I'm honestly not that bothered by hardly any of it and I am one that has had very little problems really ever in ALL the SYNC systems I had. I REALLY enjoyed the SYNC system in my 2013 F-150 FX4 for 10 years and the Explorer we had with the same sytsem. I felt like I heard alot of complaints with that system but mine never gave me a problem in 10 years in the F-150 or in our Explorer Sport that had the same system. Ive been lucky I guess.

I see the brand new Expedition and Navigators and while cool looking with all the extending and overlapping screens but I do wonder if FORD is going to far and too complicated now.... Less is more and simple is always better for reliability.

Seen the new Slate EV Truck concept? Thats where I would like to see more base model vehicles look like. There are plenty of buyers for the stripped down work trucks. Not everyone NEEDS or even WANTS the fancy trucks with inflated prices. I want one for ME but its my money and I can afford to buy whatever i want. I have workers that struggle to keep reliable trucks for work and the base models are getting too inflated. Hurting us Contractors.
