Not too long after buying my 21 Lariat PB, I lost my sound. I had no volume for anything. Took it to the dealer and they pretty much u plugged and replugged everything to make sure all was seated properly. That worked, u til a few months later when it happened again. I read a post somewhere on here that said to remove the #28 fuse and plug it back in. This is located on the passenger side kick panel by the door hinge side under the dash. I was happy to discover that this worked.
now it’s happened about 5 more times. I am not sure what is causing it, but it’s obviously getting old.
Has anybody else had to deal with this? I’m just curious. I’m teetering on the edge of trading in for a Honda. We’ve owned 5 new Hondas over the years and never had an issue with any of them! While I would certainly miss my truck, I would not miss monthly trips to the dealership for the failure du jour.

While I too would want to get to the bottom of the root cause and admittedly could be a frustrating process to do so with electronics, it just seems strange to hear F150 or Honda.

I have had Honda products all my life. At 65 years old, I even witnessed when they first started to offer goods in America. They certainly have earned their reputation. But they don't make a truck. I've often wondered why they never took the challenge on because I'm sure they have the engineering prowess to do so.

Well if you witnessed what I did yesterday on the NYS thruway you would disagree about Honda not making a truck. This poor soul had his Ridgeline loaded with a mattress , dresser, bed frame and God knows what else shoved in there. All secured with bungee cords. I kid you not. It was a sight.

Yea, I should clarify. But on the F150 forum we probably understand my prejudice. :)

I really like the Ridgeline and Maverick. But technically they are SUV's with part of the interior opened up and exposed to the elements. ?

Do you remember the GMC Envoy XUV with the retractable rear roof and folding mid gate? Short model run, 2004-2006.
