Start Stop Eliminator AND Double Honk Now Gone!

I ordered and recently installed the 4D - Start/Stop Eliminator. Works great, took about 30 seconds to install as well. Plus, as a bonus the Double Honk that used to happen when you close the doors on a running truck - is now gone too! Those two annoyances - gone for $99!! So happy ... Love my 2025 Lariat (employee priced).

Can't you turn off the double honk in the center stack menu? I've thought about getting the start stop thing, but want to try it on forscan first. Not sure if that works on the 2024 though.

Yeah the double honk can be disabled in the settings from 2024 on. Not sure about the start stop disable on the new ones though.

When I looked up the double honk disable just now - it is a honk if a door or tailgate is not closed all the way. I could not find anything related to key in car, engine on while locking car from outside?

Yeah the double honk can be disabled in the settings from 2024 on. Not sure about the start stop disable on the new ones though.

Start stop can be disabled from dash or on mine above the light switch. However, it only disables for that session, it resets to back on after each shut off. The $99 module keeps the Start Stop disabled all the time.

I am trying to understand why anyone would want to disable start/stop on a hybrid vehicle like a PowerBoost. That functionality is basic to maintain the proper SOC of the high voltage battery system in the truck. Auto stop/start is an entirely different functionality in a PowerBoost hybrid compared to a straight ICE vehicle.

ForScan with an OBD adaptor and a few minutes and it is gone.... here is what I changed on my 21 XLT.

My 2022 Platinum avoided all the supply chain-related forced deletions EXCEPT for the Auto Stop/Start. Hallelujah!

Which eliminator did you get? The only thing preventing me from ordering this is picking the best one.
