Shaking at idle (Powerboost 3.5)

2024 shakes at idle. Worse when cold. If this was my old cj7 I would adjust the carb. Using 93 octane. Is this common issue? Leave alone/normal? Seems more pronounced than it should be. 3000 miles

I have had two PowerBoosts, both had an intermittent rough idle. My current 2023 has 13,000 miles and seems to be running smoother at idle as it ages. No idea what it is all about.

i have a 22 w/ 27,000 and its always had a rough idle…I've taken it in for recall and minor cosmetic issues and when i mention the rough idle the SA says its NORMAL, yet no one has produced any paper from the factory stating it so…very disappointed.

This issue might go away after upgrading to 91 or 93 from 87 octane gas. That's what happened with my '21.

I used to complain that mine idled rough. However it did smoothen out after 8000 miles.

Same here. Seems it doesn't like to idle under a load. If its just running because its cold, Does that pretty well. But running to charge the battery? Or worse, Running to charge the battery while in gear stopped at a light? Poo Poo.

Do you have the fast recharge idle selected? If you do it idles at 1300RPM while charging.

The 3.5 EB will lug a little bit when the system is charging the hybrid battery especially when in gear since it won't raise the RPM to 1300 even if Eco-idle is enabled. You get used to it after a while.

My '14 EB did this during a cooler morning start, as we descend towards fall. I've noticed the same behavior twice during the past few days on my '23 EB now that mornings bring cooler temperatures.

For disclosure, I rarely do manual cold starts and mostly remote starts.

I have this issue as well on my 21 powerboost. I’ve had it into the dealer three times and never can they replicate the issue (I think because it doesn’t throw a code and they don’t know how to do anything without a code). 40k miles, started soon after I bought the truck. It’s infuriating.
