I just had Line-X done and am having the same issue. Calling dealer in the morning. ☹
please post what they did to resolve the issue, having same problem here, I had a rhino liner sprayed. there has to be a common issue that causes this situation but no one seems to post the resolve!!! frustrating

Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message displayed that will not clear when DTCs are not present and the vehicle has been road tested to relearn the steering wheel angle center. If this is the case, enable the rear view camera in the touchscreen and note what is seen in the image. The bottom of the image should include most of the rear bumper, but the license plate or the tailgate mounted Ford emblem should not be visible. The rearbumper should also be centered in the image. If the camera is pointing too far downward or is off center, apply some flock tape to adjust the camera angle and resecure the camera while noting the effect on the image. Once the camera image has been corrected, perform the appropriate FDRS camera alignment procedure thenverify the Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message is no longer present.

Speaking with the LINE-X franchise this morning, they stated they've consulted with a few of the local Ford dealerships and they follow the procedures outlined since they have this happen on all '21 and '22 Fords they spray. They've been told by Ford to verify the camera and the sensors work. If both work, then it may take up to 20-30 miles for the system to relearn. If it doesn't, then the customer has to go to the dealer for recalibration. There is a bug in the system that doesn't allow it to relearn apparently. I have an appointment with the dealer next Wednesday.

Another "victim": Truck was at Line-X today, when I started it after bedliner was done I got the same message.
For crying out loud, can @Ford Motor Company do one thing right?
Are we not allowed to remove the tailgate? Forget removing the tailgate; technically, simply disconnecting all the wiring going to the tailgate should be enough to trigger all these errors. Why??
What's next, removing a wheel and the ABS is not working? Taking a head rest off and the Air Bag is disabled? Seriously...

Update:

This weekend after driving 20-30 min and putting truck into reverse warning was not present. Moved from drive to reverse multiple times and no warning. I thought issue resolved itself but after turning truck off and restarting warning reappear. This has happened twice in the last two days.

I read some posts that stated reverse assist problem have resolved on their own for some owners but unclear why. One thing that is not clear is owners manual. Instructions provided to resolve warning do not work.

Going to wait for service/parts but this still appears to be a software bug to me. I’m confident my dealer will correct but Ford really needs to address this issue. They need to provide clear instructions on tailgate removal issues if that was the cause or if not identify the root cause.

I have seen Ford official Member representative on this site reach out to a few posters asking for VINs but have not seen any updates on resolution.
Nothing is clear in the owners manual. One of the shittiest manuals I've seen, TBH.

I really don't understand why this needs to be done. The camera is fixed into its housing on the tailgate. Why would it "see" something else after disconnecting/reconnecting wiring or removing the tailgate? Really absurd.

And it probably won't last half the time Line-X would, at the same cost ?

Sorry, couldn't resist either ?

My appointment was pushed back due to Covid but I was looking at a factory liner yesterday. One thing I did notice was the factory liner does not cover the rear tailgate from edge to edge. They stop about 3 inches on each side. The liner doesn’t come in contact with rubber stops above the lock latches. I wonder if the thin amount of spray is causing a slight change in camera angle when it’s tight to the rubber stop?

The camera angle would be more affected by load changes in the bed than by less than 1/8" of material against the bed stop.

And the issue in that bulletin seems to be the camera moving within its mount, i.e. relative to the tailgate, rather than the angle of the entire tailgate changing.
I'm scheduled to bring mine in later today to have the dealer take a look. I'll let you all know what they say.

Yes, that makes sense. It just caught my attention after reading another post about camera angle and seeing the factory spay tailgate.

Has anyone else been able to reset while driving at slow speeds? For me error returns after restart.

Had the TSB done today at dealer after LINE-X last week removed the tailgate. It is now fixed. Kind of sucks it requires a dealer trip due to a bug in the module.

Kind of sucks?! These things should, not, happen. Period! It's not even three weeks into ownership and today Android Auto would not connect - usb or wireless - after my 2nd stop this morning. Like, every freaking day there is something else.
And appointment at the dealer is a month away.

Yeah, yeah, I know, RAM and Chevy guys go through issues too, no one's perfect.
You know, I didn't buy RAM or Chevy and I don't care about other trucks.

Thanks for the update and allowing my rant.

My rear brake assist is turned off after three incidents of the brakes slamming on, when backing into my garage. I just wish that I could get rid of the stupid alarm.

Had my 21 Tremor fixed yesterday. It was also sprayed by local line-x, and backup assist did not work upon delivery.

Work order states SSM 50276 was found/performed along with 360 camera alignment - everything works as it should now.
