Rear Brake Assist Not Available

I recently got the Line-X bedliner and they took off the tailgate in the process. After I picked up my vehicle, when I put the car in reverse I get a warning message saying “Rear Brake Assist Not Available. Check Manual”. I think there is only a single cable connected to the tailgate so I do not think that would be the cause. I saw couple of thread stating same error but I could not find clear solution mentioned. I do not have dirty sensors and I tried reversing slowly a couple of times and it didnt work. I went to the dealer and they said it is communication failure. Anyone know what maybe causing this? Or how did u fix it? My f150 is stock with no mods.

If the rear camera is working, then it probably isn't the tailgate wiring. Do you have ProPower? Any chance they disconnected the rear sensors when removing the ProPower receptacle(s) and didn't plug them back in?

My rear camera is working fine. I dont have ProPower. The rear sensors are working fine whenever I am parking or backing up.

Oh yea it is. I tried turning it on and off but still does the same.

happened to me. had to turn it off in setting then turn ignition off to reboot the System then turn it back on and reboot again.

I turned mine off yesterday because backing up trailers is impossible. Besides that it keeps scaring the crap out of me when it hits the brakes, making me think i hit something every time. The camera's good enough for me.

@bizu1108 Did you find a resolution to your issue? I had the same exact thing happen just now after my Line-X installation. They forgot to plug a sensor back in, I've plugged it back in but cannot get the warning to go away. Tried toggling on off, cycling ignition, etc.

Take a look at the links above.
If you take it to the dealer, you can show them the TSB which may fix this. If that doesn't fix it, you can try replacing the IPMA (what I did). Hopefully TSB fixes it because I heard IPMA is on backorder.

My reverse park aid warning is still on after performing the tsb.
I have a set of tow mirrors ordered, so I’m going to wait to complain about it again until after those mirrors get put on.
You know why?
Because whatever they do, I know is going to require a 360-camera alignment. And I assume it’ll need one after the mirrors are replaced too.
So that way I can kill two birds with one stone and daddy Ford can pay for the camera alignment.
