Thanks Ruge..I'll continue to try and troubleshoot. Nice to know that my suspicions are correct..I don't know what you did to piss off the OTA gods because I don't see anything other than crappy luck with the OTA process preventing you from getting updates. Modem is working fine and you are showing a TCU update which is one of the key modules that need to have a pending update for you to be able to progress. Truck seems fine.

I was in the exact same position with my truck 2 1/2 years ago. And ultimately fixed it with FDRS and without replacing the APIM. You should be able to do this although getting the first APIM update to install may not happen immediately. Below is my story,
Getting a truck out of Sync 20301 even with FDRS is a difficult ordeal. Not every one has been able to do it, but there are some success stories. We'll do what we can to help when you start. Can you turn auto update on and off, or is it grayed out? If you can turn it on and off, it will be easier. But, if it is grayed out, then good luck to you, sir.

I've seen it mentioned a few times that people have generally had good success with leaving the USB stick in the truck for a length of time and waiting on it to start the APIM update process. Hoping I have the same. At one point though, it seemed like the FDRS APIM download wasn't loading all the proper files for people. Sounds like you experienced that issue since you mentioned help from others? Curious if that is still an issue - perhaps a question better asked on the other thread.

Figured I don't have much to lose though.
Back then, one of the forum members here was able to prepare a update image for us and load it in Dropbox you could then make a USB disk from that VIN specific image, plug it in and wait. This method nolonger works. You'll have to make a disk yourself in FDRS plug it in and wait for it to install. The problem is the FDRS license will run out while you're waiting for the install to happen. So you'll have to license up again to continue updating once the APIM goes through. As rugedraw said there's also the possibility that it doesn't take the update.
