Request VIN Lookup Thread

I'm going to lose my cool with this OTA update. I don't object to the idea of the update, its the annoying notification that I get any time I go to start it.. And of course that it wont actually update.
Can my VIN be checked for any potential flags so I know what to target? Fords site says to check the trucks display for specifics, and the display doesn't have specifics that I've found..

I was wondering that since I am a frequent remote start user in winter months.

From my experience if there is an OTA in queue already downloaded will notice it within a minute of starting truck.

It's not really "on" when you do that. You don't even have to start it. Just turning the ignition on is enough to activate the trigger.

Huh... strange... I do not have a key to turn but I did press the start push button and let it run until it was warmed up. I will try again tonight!

The following is a list of known OTA's I've received. Interestingly, all but the last one showed up in the Ford Pass app on my phone. The last one only showed up on the truck's center stack.

PTS shows 6.2.0 installed 10/24. Delayed Fordpass messages are nothing new. No other OTA in your queue at this time.

That should show 6.2.0, seems the only way to see some updates installed because the notifications don't always go into account messages.

OTA 2.1.0 for the GWM is sitting in your queue right now. Go start your truck and check for updates. That should get it to install.

Strange. PTS shows the files have been downloaded and ready to install. Starting the truck is all that is needed to get it to install.
