Need a VIN lookup as my OTA update says failed 4.3.5 and the dealer says I need a new APIM that they have ordered for me. I dont want them touching anything....

Could someone help me with this VIN lookup? It is a 2021 Ford F-150 Platinum and I dropped it at a dealership for the Bluecruise update that they said it needs. It has been three weeks since then and they have not returned my truck back. All they are saying is that they are unable to update one programmable module.

@rugedraw - When you have time to check my VIN. I new member is coming over tomorrow to borrow my Mongoose and I will help him get all set up to do his 12 updates (that are showing). So if I have anything, I will do them. I just would like to know in advance.

My mom, sister and myself are currently displaced. We are well insured, but this is going to take months to resolve. Fortunately, my side of the house was minimally affected and I should be able to move back in within a week or two unless more underlying damage is discovered between now and then.

Note to anyone that has electric scooters or any kind of similar device: DO NOT charge them inside your house and do not leave them charging overnight while you're sleeping. We're all lucky to be alive.

Yes, e scooter's are a big problem! For that reason alone, I never have a battery powered vehicle of any type garaged or stored in a dwelling that's attached to were I'm living.

My guy, this forum can wait, there’s nothing on here that anyone has that’s more pressing than you taking care of your family. ALL of the problems presented on this forum are the epitome of first world problems.

4.3.5 failed due to some kind of a software mismatch....it is not very clear as to why it failed. Seeing that the dealer never even hooked up your truck to the diagnostic software, I don't see where they got the idea that your truck needs a new APIM. The update that failed is for the GWM. Did they say why they wanted to replace the APIM?

I see they updated just about every module that needed to be updated on your truck. When they went to run the Bluecruise config config program to activate it, it failed saying that your APIM was not at the right software. However, FDRS does not show any APIM updates pending, so that is strange. Your sync version is now at 21359 which is the very latest version. They have not touched your truck in a week. My guess is they opened a case with Ford engineering and are waiting for them to proceed, but I cannot confirm that is the case. They are genuinely having issues activating BC on your truck. Strange as this new BC campaign they came out with seems to have a high success rate.

Praying for you and your family and also I will take your advice, the scooter stays on the porch indefinitely but I am going to never leave it plugged in at night again.

My truck hasn't been updated since sept 2022, no clue whats going on.
