Well two of them would be updated as a result of you expressing a 'concern' that something wasn't working correctly...and the tech would research that and find that a certain software update would solve that problem and do the update under warranty. That's how this normally works.
So if you have an iPhone and it gets too warm while charging, or doesn't charge properly you'd tell the service advisor and the tech would read the TSB that says to update the WACM module.
The BCM could be a lot of things. I would defer to others here on the forum to suggest what a good reason would be to get that updated.
The APIM is your SYNC module and that one is hard to justify unless it's just not working correctly or some menu items are grayed out etc.
Many times I've heard of dealers doing updates while the vehicle is in the shop for routine maintenance. They want to get paid somehow.
So In a perfect chain of events, I have a scheduled service date for the 25th to get an oil change, and my A/C system checked. It turned off randomly on a road trip so hoping there’s a reason.
Then ironically my Apple CarPlay DOES disconnect randomly, AND my phone does get SUPER hot when using the charging pad ??.
