Someone with FDRS would have to pull the list again and see if they left anything undone.

No OTA history in the past 60 days and you are on a very old version of Sync. It is possible that your truck is stuck and you will need dealer intervention to start getting updates again.

Edit: I see a dealer tried to update and run repair operation on your APIM last October and it failed. I also see it seems they recently replaced your TCU and reset your OTA update reset that I have never seen before. You can wait and see if updates start coming in now, but it is possible your APIM needs to be replaced. @Jesse-Infotainment Can you take a look at this truck when you can? Do you think what the dealer just did will get his updates going again or is it deeper rooted?
Do you know if the OTA update will come in even though the automatic update is defaulted to off and the scheduled OTA time/day won’t hold the values after I turn off the truck?

Ummm. I can confirm they did just the APIM and that's it (sequence line 5).

Leaving all these still:

Maybe they think you won't know any better?
The thing is, if you tell your service advisor "....but some guy in the forums said you didn't do it", it usually doesn't end well. It happened to me and many others that have reported their experiences. One of the things that pushed me to getting a mongoose and taking that route.

In your case, I am not sure. Your truck could be stuck in OTA limbo. I don't have the tools or knowledge to confirm my suspicion.

@Bullett if the slides in your sync updates are grayed out and can not be changed you're stuck on the failed 1.7.1 ota from December of 2021. Additionally to confirm this check in settings / about sync, for you sync version number. If there's no version number or revision number displayed you are definitely stuck .

Would someone mind checking my VIN for pending module updates and OTA update failures? I have a 2021 Job 1 truck that has had some issues with OTA updates in the past, but I believe it very recently got (at least somewhat) caught up. On the module side, I'm curious to see if there are pending updates for APIM, PCM, and DCACA (wonky pro power issues) specifically, but would be grateful for the full list. Thanks in advance.

They need to start with the TCU before doing anything else...just so you know.

Always do a GWM or TCU before doing anything else.

Does this mean I’m all up to date? Sorry if that’s a dumb question.
Well except for those three yes. The APIM is your Sync. The BCM is the body controller. The WACM is your phone charge pad module.

APIM updates are good to have and come quite often by OTA. The BCM update could affect multiple things so I don't know what that would update in your case, and the WACM update specifically addresses iPhones not charging properly and/or getting too warm when they do.

Should I show them these screen shots?
Many service advisors and techs have been surprised that customers can see what was actually done to their vehicle. It generally puts them on the back foot and they might get defensive. On the other hand it's a great way to let them know that it's time to stop blowing smoke. Usually when they find out you're "not as dumb as you look" things get more productive.

Thank you! What is the best way to have the dealer addres these?

I can show you what updates you have available in FDRS...I can't see OTA status.

Have that battery checked. It just probably needs replacement. Many of them went bad in the first year (mine lasted 3 months).

Well two of them would be updated as a result of you expressing a 'concern' that something wasn't working correctly...and the tech would research that and find that a certain software update would solve that problem and do the update under warranty. That's how this normally works.

So if you have an iPhone and it gets too warm while charging, or doesn't charge properly you'd tell the service advisor and the tech would read the TSB that says to update the WACM module.

The BCM could be a lot of things. I would defer to others here on the forum to suggest what a good reason would be to get that updated.

The APIM is your SYNC module and that one is hard to justify unless it's just not working correctly or some menu items are grayed out etc.

Many times I've heard of dealers doing updates while the vehicle is in the shop for routine maintenance. They want to get paid somehow.

Probably need that TCU updated....and then start with the PCM.
