On mine I'm guessing the best way to get up to date is to work through it on my own with mongoose in that case? Seems like no updates in 2 years is pretty excessively long.

I forgot to ask about your truck, but yes, the Mongoose is the way to go. If you're in no rush and don't want to spend the money, I can add you to the waiting list to borrow one of mine.

Your truck has not recorded any APIM updates since it was built. It is still in the same Sync software it left that factory with. According to Ford, the latest Sync for your truck model year is 22294. I can't check FDRS to show you pending module updates until I get home to my laptop later, but I am sure it is there. There is nothing wrong with your truck from what I can see. From the ones I have checked, the Super Duties are not on an aggressive OTA roll-out schedule like the F150s are.

If what you need is proof you are not on the latest software, this document below is from GSB 23-7146 that was sent to Ford dealers on October 26th. That shows you are not on the latest Sync. However, Ford does not pay dealers to perform module updates, so I would not have high hopes that they update the truck for you.

Ford does not pay dealers to update modules, so don't expect to get help there. The problem is Ford's erratic OTA system. The GWM there is the one needed to kick off the next update. Once that one is done, an APIM update will show up and that should be the one that gives you full screen capability.

Nothing to worry about. It's known. Ford released a BCM update with the same 2.7.4 revision from an old IPC update. Not sure what they were thinking, but it is documented on the OTA history thread stickied here.

I received 6.4 OTA back on 12/5 but have had 3 failures since then. I get the download icon showing the update is ready to be installed at the scheduled time but all 3 have just disappeared without any error message. The last one I made sure battery was fully charged but still no luck. Can battery SOC be the culprit here? Battery was replaced under warranty a little over a year ago.
Appreciate if anyone can check and advise. Thanks.

Your truck is fine and ready for the 6.x.x updates. I don't know why you haven't gotten them sent yet and there is no way to know when that will happen, but your truck is fine.

PTS shows no failed updates. Lots of quirky things have been happening lately similar to what you're describing. Your truck is fine and the few Power Up updates you haven't gotten yet should come in soon.
