Rugedraw kindly checked my VIN a short time ago. Said it was reporting a Battery Issue. I've been in touch with Ford and all they can do is tell me to take it to a dealer. First dealer cannot confirm any of the stalling issues I'm having. Charged and checked the battery and it checks out ok. Take it to another dealer tonight and the service manager looks the VIN up in the PAT system while I am standing there and there are pages and pages of warnings! I didn't invade her space, so I didn't see all of them clearly, but I did see a battery issue daily. WTF goes on that the first dealer didn't check any of this. The first dealer I went to is 5 times as big as where my truck is now. I would assume the volume they do would expose them to much more. Disappointing, but I feel she may be in good hands now to resolve the issue.

It also has some drive shaft warranty work. Anyone aware of this? It was a very early build. May have been December of 2020.

There was issue with some trucks getting bottom of cab insulation on trucks with no mount points for it. Recall was for securing it because it could come loose and contact driveshaft potentially causing need to replace it. If work was done under warranty I wouldn't worry much about it but any decent dealer can give you Oasis/PTS history.

OTA dashboard is below. The APIM OTA that failed is 3.5.3 which is the one that gives you full-screen carplay/AA. It failed due to a software mismatch within the files that were sent to your truck. It happens. There is nothing you did wrong or nothing you could have done differently. All you can do is wait for them to resend it. FDRS I can provide much later when I get home to my laptop.

This party won't stop cuz it can't stop.
The last successful OTA you had was 4.2.4. The one you see below that failed up top was 4.3.4 and it failed numerous times due to low battery SoC. It has since expired and you have to wait for it to be resent to try again.
You are missing the 6.x.x updates. Not terribly behind.

Thank you for the update. That explains the appearance of a new driveshaft and what appears to be new barcode stickers on it and the transfer case. Strange thing is when I contacted Ford, on social media, because I swear I feel a vibration/grinding in the gas pedal, they indicated nothing indicative of drivetrain issues had been reported on the vehicle. I had only owned it 2 weeks at that point. Feel like I was straight up lied to.

No OTA's have been sent to you since then. However, if you've gotten this far, there's nothing wrong with your truck. You just haven't gotten any love from the mothership lately.

Hopefully, someone will share the FRDS insight so I can decide between buying the Mongoose and updating several modules, of paying the dealer (~$150 they said) for the APIM update.

All FDRS is going to show is what modules currently have updates pending for your truck other than the APIM. After the full-screen carplay/AA update, I don't think there are any other updates for the Super Duties that are going to give you anything major like OTA 3.5.3 does.
