I am not a tech, so I am not sure, but if I had to guess, this requires a trip the dealer so they can diagnose what physical component is failing and causing these codes to appear.
That's what I'll do. Thanks for the help!

@Static Look at the attached screenshot of your OTA dashboard. The column to the right is what tells you why the update failed. The last time it failed was about an hour ago and the error message reads:

"errorCode":"CooldownFailed(8)""totalLvBatteryCapacity":"74""currentLvBatterySoc":"100""availableLvBatteryCapacity":"74000"

You see it says battery capacity is at 74? Look down the list of error messages and you see the battery SOC was in the 60's and has crept up to the 70's. I believe it needs to be at 80+ throughout the install process for it to go through. I am pretty confident if you do what I said above, it will go through.

So I have a charger hooked up and I was able to get obd fusion working on my phone so I can see the SOC of the truck live. It was hovering around 89 so I tried doing the update again, and again it looks like it failed. I don't really care about the update, I don't even have pro power onboard, so I don't even know why it's trying to install this on my truck. I just want to see a successful update happen once, since it never has since I bought the truck 2 years ago and I've gone through the whole mongoose FDRS process several times as well as replacing a faulty TCU. Could you see if it's still saying the battery is the reason for the failure?

Yup. Same thing. It showed it failed once even with the SOC at 100. What is interesting is that it is showing two values: Battery Capacity and Battery SOC. If you notice, your battery capacity maxes out at 73-75. However 2 days ago before you started charging it, it was capping at 60-65 in that value.

Have you tried resetting the BMS? If you did, you may have a deteriorating battery that needs to be replaced.

Yeah, I reset the BMS yesterday before I drove home from work. Crazy thing is this battery was replaced by the local dealer less than a year ago under warranty, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if it went bad again already. They didn't reset the BMS when they replaced it, but I checked and did myself because I figured they wouldn't. They also didn't put the battery blanket back on, so I don't know if that would accelerate battery wear, but I figured it was on there for a reason.

Not sure. The thing is, your battery capacity has been going up little by little as you've had the charger on it. I would leave it on the charger a few more nights to see if it continue to goes up. This update is new and I am learning as I go with it. I am actively helping a few people with it that are having the same issue as you, and am using your feedback and theirs to learn what works in terms of helping it go through. It is only a matter of time before it get sent to me and I will be on this same mission.

Revision doesn't mean much.
What is the full version number?
It's year and day of year.
YYDDD
23031 is latest for 2021 trucks.
Day 31 of 2023.

I see they replace the APIM in early January. They ran the PMI procedure on it on 1/12. They then tried to run a PMI on the TCU which failed, but your truck is communicating with Ford properly, so I don't see any issues with it. It is very strange that you have not gotten an update in 7 months.

Go to your truck and post a pic of your "about sync" screen. I don't have to knowledge to know if the APIM they put in is properly configured to your truck, but I will ask the person who does.

I assume you removed the front air dam because your truck is recording DTC's for it every time you drive.

1FTFW1E81MKD46193 please and thanks!
You have a minor PCM update sitting in your queue now. It tried to install once, but it failed due to low battery voltage. VERY low battery voltage. I would have your battery charged and tested.

I was afraid of that. It's on the charger now. I'll add the battery to my list of service needs. It also has a dead TPMS sensor.

Can someone check my VIN? It has been a while since I got an update and mine was usually pretty good at getting them.

Nothing since you got 3.5.4 back on 4/26. Nothing wrong with your truck......you just haven't gotten any love from the mothership lately.
