My truck has less than 4000 miles and this morning onwards the remote start on the Ford pass app is not starting the truck. Any idea why? There was a false intrusion alarm that I cleared.
I had this problem on my iPhone but I did get a message that the Servers was having maintenance and it would be down for a while and to please check back. Keyfob worked.

If you hit the lock button and then remote start twice and then remote start one more time within three seconds it should idle for 30 minutes.

Guy you had me so jazzed on this that I went out and tried it on my truck. Did exactly that and the second start button push killed the truck and red flash on the remote. I`m sure, or not, they`ve changed it on later models. Thanks for the input.

15 minutes max sucks, especially on PBs where it can just sit there most of the times. Where it matters like really cold mornings it could use more time if desired, especially defrosting. The options are worse on a PB especially when it's warm and the desire is to get some heat into the motor but instead it just sits off, running the AC from what's in the HVB. They really need to include an option for always firing up the ICE on remote start and not just turning on the climate. It's remote start after all, not cabin conditioning.

I think I messed up on the directions.

Try this after you start the truck normally since you have already remote started once, do the usual remote start, then do the same steps again.

So lock, remote start twice, it starts and then lock and remote start twice. That should start it and then extend it another 15 minutes.

I'm just throwing this out there, but another thread notes that parts of fordpass went offline this morning.

You`re my hero. I retried the start sequence as suggested and it worked just as you described. I got interrupted during the timing of it but I know the truck did idle for well over 15 minutes. I can just leave this useless constant crashing ford pass uninstalled and move on into winter. Your information is one of the best things I`ve learned on this forum along with I`m not the only one with a f`d up truck! If you`re ever in Western Wyoming drop me a note as I definitely owe you at least lunch and a beer for this! Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Everybody is replacing them at their expense instead of waiting for a breakdown. I don`t know what`s up with ford either and have gone on a rant all over the forum with basically the same complaint, ford is overusing its customers as guinea pigs for their R&D dept. If you have a bunch of bad batteries fine, then get the lot #s and get them off the shelves rather than keep installing them in vehicles!

I think the world agrees with you and you`re so lucky you have a handle on things way above the average person. I just can`t get over a company knowing they have a problem like this and not being more reactive. Sure it`s just a battery but what about someone stuck out in the cold, or taken out by a semi on the side of the road, or your wife with a no start in a dark parking lot? You must be in tears to see what has happened to your company over the years. I know I am. Good luck.

My Fpass remote stopped working too...and I do get the occasional no internal lights, no lights coming on when you walk up and deep sleep messages when I don't drive the truck for a few days...I'm just going to let the original batteries go dead before I change them out with a non Ford one...on my own dime...my remote start on the FOB does work though. My original battery is a H7.
