While this one doesn't apply to us, I never consider the fact of recalls happening to be a bad thing.

IMO the bad thing would be if NHTSA stops or is limited in their ability to investigate reported problems, and issue recalls when appropriate. It's not a perfect system, but it's needed, IMO.

And yeah, I have some concerns about their ability to continue that role in light of other happenings in the government ....

Yeah. I'm waiting for a 10R80 recall. Right now there's just a service bulletin.
Rough shifts. Are service bulletin fixes free? Should be covered under my service plan with $100 deductible though. Not sure. May take her in.
I asked dealer about my rough shifts and service bulletin and they didn't do anything never mentioned it again. I don't think service person even wrote it down, of course.
I might try the forscan trans table reset and relearn. It seems this issue got worse after driving in rain in slippery mode and 2H. Which was great in wet but then clunky hard shifts started. Maybe just let it relearn for a bit.

Me too. Its hard to on one hand complain about ones treatment by a corporation - be it Ford or any other - and on the other hand wish to gut the only entities empowered to hold their feet to the fire.

Starting to feel bad for the service departments that have to deal with all these.

No way to quantify how many issues are actually affecting folks, and besides, the service tech's get paid by the hour.

That wasn’t my point.

I see how overwhelmed they are and hear about how many people including myself have to go back multiple times.

For the same crap.

I have been sitting on that valve recall for month and still no appointment can be made.
