They just did this on my truck last week. Recalibrated PCM and they called it done ?

I think you are actually referring to Recall Campaign# 24E04 ... "Powertrain control module PCM reprogramming and catalytic converter replacement if required"

I did a quick search and I could not come up with any documentation for Recall Campaign #24E08 or chatter about it on the forums as of today.

My truck threw the code (emission system) in July while in Yellowstone. Thankfully, it cleared the next day, but threw it again a couple days later while towing the camper back home to NorCal (cleared again). Took to the dealership in September when it threw the code again. The recall had just come out the day I scheduled the appt. Took it in and the reprogrammed. Got the same code a week later, took it in again and they replaced not cats. Last month the heat exchanger started sounding like a coffee can with a few coins in it. Had that replaced. Wasn’t covered under warranty even though it’s clearly part of the emissions system. However, Ford did cover about 2/3s of the cost, but I’m going to try to recoup the $255 I had to pay for it. Sorry for the rambling. ‘22 PowerBoost. I hope I don’t have any more issues with it because I’d really like to get a new one and start our retirement travels with zero miles on the tow vehicle, but my lovely bride is less than impressed with it lately.

I have not contacted my dealer yet. Odd there isnt more info.

Just got the letter for this today. "Our records show that your vehicle was previously serviced with an incorrect catalytic converter due to a service parts catalog error. Tailpipe emissions may be higher than intended. Parts are now available to repair your vehicle."

same. Nearly 3 months after getting the initial notice, i get a letter from ford.

I was told I need mine replaced (again!) at my last oil change. I have been waiting for them to come in for four weeks now. Also, 4'th time both have been replaced!

Yeah. There seems to be confusion by some people replying to this thread. This recall is for people who had a cat or cats replaced in the past. Apparently, the replaced cats are no good and ford has decided to replace them again.

Typical when you let the bean counters run the show. They end up going for the cheapest of the cheap Chinesium crap parts they can find just to save a few pennies per vehicle. Ultimately we're left with the hassle of dealing with their idiocy so shareholders can get a nice 1% bump in returns on their quarterlies.
