I was playing with ForScan this weekend.
Changed battery SoC, disable ASS.
Before starting anything, and I mean before plugging the adaptor int the pc, on my way for my morning coffee, I got the “rear brake assist unavailable“ message.
While playing with ForScan, I looked for DTCs stored or active and there were none.
Anyone got an idea why this thing quit working? I hate the message in the IC and even if I shut it off in settings, a different message appears. Not that I ever depend on this as I don’t think it has activated more than 5 times since I’ve had the truck, and that was due to a rather quick approach to an obstacle I was fully aware of.
might this be a center stack reset, or is it deeper.
(never off pavement except for my yard, nothing wiring related fiddled with at all, did lower the rear over a year ago.)
