This was my experience crossing the entirety of Nebraska on the I-80, doing 75 mph in the right lane. Hours and hours of toy haulers, triple axles, 5th wheels, etc going by in the left lane. To be fair, I was also passed by semis...of course passing a semi at 80mph -- genius
Came across a vid where all major MFGs of TTs require their delivery drivers to have WDH to deliver them to the dealer regardless the tow vehicle. Can't believe a dealer wouldn't not only try and get them to use a WDH, but to sell them one. Crazy.despite #1 son telling them they needed a wdh hitch.. and despite rv dealer insisting they did not
because it was a ram with a hemi v8???
they were lucky ...
At the TT dealership, several people, several times, asked about "hitch work". Even when I said I was bringing and mounting my own, they offered to do it for me.Came across a vid where all major MFGs of TTs require their delivery drivers to have WDH to deliver them to the dealer regardless the tow vehicle. Holy shit! Really hope you're parents came out of that okay. That must have been terrifying for your whole family.i can laugh
my parents did almost the same thing a few years ago
a ram 1500, towing a 25 foot tt and dad decided to pass on left pretty fast, lost control on bow wave of 18 wheeler and trailer flipped, destroyed rear of truck, hitch and blew apart the trailer, while truck somehow detached and they survived.

I got plenty of questions but not really any resistance. Some TT dealers won't even let you transfer your existing WDH when trading for a new one. They make you pay to install what you already own on the trailer they are selling you.
yep they were ok, mentally they were shook up and scoulding from son caused them some issues once i found out the truth and fact they NEVER called when it happened.Holy shit! Really hope you're parents came out of that okay. That must have been terrifying for your whole family.
The dealer I ended up buying from didn't ask a single question and left me be. A few others didn't even give you an option.I got plenty of questions but not really any resistance.
I think they didn't want to have to learn a new hitch and more or less let me be. The salesman did come out after I had it installed and nosed around a little but the WeighSafe was, for lack of a better phrase, a foreign concept to them, compared to the Centerline that they carried.
Not much, F-150 does have a solid rear axle though. Why is the F150 any different than a 1/2T Ram?
That's what the RV dealer did that sold me my TT. I brought the WDH I wanted and owned, and got charged to mount it.Some TT dealers won't even let you transfer your existing WDH when trading for a new one. They make you pay to install what you already own on the trailer they are selling you.
