I put the ihc 3/5 kit on my 23 rcsb. I used a lift but your plan with the jacks sounds solid.

no driveshaft clearance issues to speak of.

one thing I will note about the kit, the balljoint nuts seemed awful soft on my kit where I stripped an upper and lower out while tightening with a hand ratchet. Not sure if it’s just the run my kit came from because I’ve never heard anyone else complain about it, but if it wasn’t a fluke or me suddenly getting super strength I figured you should know lol

Also, a helper bag kit might not be a bad idea while you are in there. 20 bags of mulch loaded gets mine bottoming out on bumps.
Good to hear about no driveshaft issues. I'm betting it's more of a 4/6 drop issue if at all.

I have a friend that's 1/2 mile away from me that has a nice size garage that has a lift but I'm dreading asking him because everyone around asks him to use it. Plus my back gets worse standing than it does laying down so I might be better on the ground, MAYBE ? ?
Thank you very much, greatly appreciated!

I decided to go ahead and get an alignment bolt kit so that the person doing the alignment has less of an issue. Rock Auto had a good price on
MOOG K80087 Kit Contains 2 Cams, Bolts, Guides And Hardware; Caster Camber Cam Bolt Front; with Bolts & Cams; Plus or Minus 2 Degree Camber and / or Plus or Minus 1-1/2 Degree Caster

Tryng to eliminate unforseen issues.

You can do this on the ground it just takes longer. Front one side at a time. Then lift Both sides of the back. Don’t Torq the final Spec til your dune and the truck all together dune and on the ground with all the weight on it. Ramps, a couple of jacks and 4 jack stands a few long crow bars a torq wrench and a couple of extra hands . Lots Youtube on this kit install you can learn a little from each video plus the instructions are pretty good. using one of the kits with front control arms is so much better than just drop shocks. This will keep the front end geometry, the same, which will allow the truck to be aligned and not eat tires .

Hi I have IHC 3/5 on mine with no caster bolts and 10,000 miles on it since lowerd no problems still hold the road straight tires look fine. I’ve had them rotated and balanced twice as I do them every 5000 miles. I haven’t noticed any rubbing Or drive line issues. Mine is a 22 xlt 5.0 3’73 4x4 with 22”. I have regressed the zerk fittings once. I’ve got the helper bags to. Works great if you’re going to do any truck stuff with it. 10 to 15 psi every day and 30 to 45 if you load the bed down. I’ve had 47 bags of mulch back there and 40 psi and bed didn’t squat at all. The kit should come with alinement specs for the shop just give it to the shop or print them out read all instructions you be fine. 3/5 drop on these trucks is not low. Pics when dune.
I forgot about this thread I started and forgot to post pictures.
It was a tough couple days installing this ONLY because I'm disabled and getting up and down 100s no matter how organized I thought I was. Up & down wore me out. The nut stripped out on a lower ball joint and I had a hard time finding the right nut but other than that we finished it over the weekend basically. Got it aligned to IHC recommended specs and she rides GREAT! I tend to avoid rough road even before putting a lowering kit on so there isn't much of a difference in my opinion. Going over rough roads it does bounce a little sideways just like when it did when it was stock. I think/hope Fox shocks will fix that. Then I will add helper bags eventually just in case I do haul or tow something with it. I love the stance of it. 3/5 is definitely not too low for sure. It's perfect in my opinion.

When we added 'Train Train' to the setlist I had a lot of folks come to the stage and say they have never heard that live..The harp is not too difficult but few cover bands have a Harp player. Whenever KathyJo put it in the crowd went wild especially at Biker events..(KathyJo and the Bluzification Band Kattillac Jack)..

Newbie here!

IHC Ride Quality 3/5 Kit will be here next week for my 2024 RCSB 4x2.
I've changed some suspension parts in the past, never lowered one. A friend of mine that has put 2 different lowering kits on his Mustang (different animal, I know) will be doing most of the work.

I got a quote from a local Ford dealer. Here is his email.
"Youd be around $1917 for labor, also if you have a regular cab truck, you may run into driveshaft clearance issues with the IHC kit"

That's question #1. Anyone have driveshaft clearance issues? And where would it rub if it did have issues?

Question #2. Is it wise to install caster and camber bolts in the lower control arm while it's off? If it is what is the best set?

Question #3. Torque pre-loaded suspension...
I've seen a few different ways people do it. We'll be working on the floor of a garage. So, I'm thinking the best way is to put 2 jack stands under rear end (easy peasy) but the front....jack stands will be on the frame, so jack up the lower control arm until it's slightly starts lifting truck? Or put a jack stand under lower control arm?
What is everyones method on this?

I think that is all of the questions this newbie has.
I appreciate it.

I’m having that issue now with the drive shaft hitting underneath the truck

Did you run into that ?

This is one of the reasons that Ridetech went with the height that they did for their kit, because during R&D they found the driveshaft issue. If you want to go lower, you have to notch the cab.

Update:

I'm now experiencing the driveshaft rub. The only thing that has changed is I had a shop install my helper bags and I am now tuned on 91+ flex tune.
Went out for a dragy run and when it hit 3rd gear I noticed a loud hard hit. Wasn't sure what it was so I crawled under truck and I see where the driveshaft has come into contact with both the black frame cross member and the body support area.
I'm assuming it's due to axle wrap and pushing the driveshaft upwards. I've got VAS traction bars ordered hoping they'll prevent this from happening.
