When I connect my trailer I need the parking brake to come on when I am over the ball. My 2011 always rolls a bit when I put into park. With my 2022 I just open my door. It shifts to park and sets the brakes. I hated auto brake.
keep the seatbelt clicked in. auto park will not engage if you open the door.
do at your own risk*

I wish I could do the opposite and set the parking brake to full manual operation only. Very low priority or problem otherwise though.

The '24 Explorer loaner vehicle I had applied the Parking Brake automatically whenever I shifted into Park; is this possible to do on the F-150? The only way I see it possible is when in Reverse, click on the 'P', and it will apply the parking brake automatically whenever you shift into park, but the process has to be repeated each time.

Were you able to find a way to do this?

No ones figured this out yet? My truck has a button on the top left of the reverse camera screen to enable the automatic parking brake, the problem is it resets every key cycle. Surely there must be a line in Forscan to change to recall previous settings and not have to re enable this feature every time I start my truck

I am really hoping we can do this in Forscan. No responses yet and I can't find anywhere how to.
I did like it in my BMW X3M and also my Range Rover Sport. Its safer to have it always engage once I go into P. And in my garage when I park I have limited space and if I don't engage it the vehicle has some movement when I go into P and every inch counts in my garage. haha

You can while in reverse select the icon for it to set the park brake. I havent looked into it.. I always press the icon to set the ebrake when I park. You have to do it every Ignition cycle but it will put ebake on everytime until the next time truck is turned on.

My rental last week 23’XLT would turn on the parking brake after putting it in park and turning it off… I thought I was going crazy so I tried it a few times and sure enough it would engage shortly after shifting to P and turning the truck off.

I looked thru all of the settings but couldn’t find anything referencing it. I would love to t find a way to do this in my 22 Limited.
