Hello everyone, I recently reported a problem with my 2021 F150 Platinum (approx. 95,000 km). A warning light came on indicating a power steering failure. After restarting the car, it disappeared. I had installed a new battery at the time. Unfortunately, this problem persists, usually occurring when I need to turn the steering wheel sharply while stationary. I would be grateful for any information. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Could it possibly be the steering wheel sensor? Otherwise, the car runs perfectly. Best regards to all.

Do you have an OBD port reader to check for any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)?

That would be my suggested first troubleshooting step.

In the US many auto-parts stores will check for DTCs for no charge in their parking lot, perhaps Germany, too?

You can probably get one on Amazon.de at a fraction of the cost of getting a dealer diagnostics check, here's an example from Amazon US

Got it. You can get a cheap bluetooth adapter and the FORScanLite app for your phone to easily check the codes yourself. They usually will point you in the right direction.

Assuming you're on an android phone, you'll need to have developer mode on and be able to install from unknown sources. Use kingstaller to install the app file on your phone.

The OBDII port is under your dash right by the driver side door.

The dealer just installed an H8 for me. He said he needed to go in and make an adjustment to something with the new battery. He was downloading a bunch of other updates as well. I was in my "in one and out the other" mode at the time.
