Yeah, 80mph gusts throughout N GA into SC and TN -- if this thing holds predictions the entire SE states are going to get slapped hard. These pines can't take it.
PB is ready to go. I've got battery backup for my place as well as the PB. Given the mess these trees are going to make, might not even be able to do mobile generator as a service for the fam that doesn't have generators.

I warned em it was a dumb idea to let a gen go for a couple hundred $ when there's over $1k of food in the fridges/freezers. You don't buy them for when ya don't need them, they're insurance policies. When everyone else is in the dark and I'm watching movies chilin in the AC, I don't feel bad ..... I really don't. Sometimes I take a walk to survey things and just listen to the silence of the unpreparedness. I'm not laughing under my breath, I promise.
I’ve always been extra precautious about things like this after we went over three weeks without power after the blizzard of 93. Even though I’ve had a 21 powerboost then a 22 Lightning and now a 24 powerboost I’ve still kept my small gas generator just in case.

Stay safe out there. The storm surge projections are sobering.

Yes. It's got a crazy amount of live views as well.

I feel that I lucked out, again. I feel for anyone that's getting the worst side of this storm..

2mil w/out power and it's still in S. GA. Loads of response vehicles staged everywhere, The 50MPH+ gusts that will hit most of GA is going to cause all sorts of power issues as the pines that are everywhere get up to 130' tall and snap at much less speeds. Most people live in the northern half of the state. Full tank of fuel ready to go! Thankfully it's picked up speed so it won't dwell too long, just enough to down thousands of trees. Lots of friends around savannah got hit with tornadoes, going to be a mess at sun up.

JAX, FL - no power, no internet since 1am.

Plugged in the powerboost about an hour ago for the first time since we installed the transfer switch 2 1/2 years ago. Hotspotting with the phones this morning. We have essential items powered; tankless water heater, fridges, lights, fans, main rooms/bathrooms, etc.

Now I could really use the monitor generator functions they removed from FordPass, sigh.

Reports from ATL do not look good. Hope everyone is okay.

Worth the price of admission.

I hope you have a small room AC or two and you will be set no matter how long it takes to get the power back.

Glad to hear everyone is safe and with your PB set up, you may be the envy of the neighborhood.

PB,s saving the day..awesome as
Tender brisket

On my weather forum that has a tad over a million personal weather stations tied into the net
Cedar key fl indicated just over 9 feet of surge, with waves 3 to 6 feet
Before it went offline about 11 pm eastern
Horse shoe bay live feed from a stationary camera set up stopped feed after it went under water.
But it was filming a house that at near 7pm just had rain on ground..
House was at least 10 feet in air on pilings
Right before the feed died..waves were exploding under its floor. The stairs were gone ..
I bet house got lifted off
As that area indicated 12 feet of surge at one point
Sure hope people are safe
Those new alligators disguised as 100 gallon propane tanks are everywhere floating
.
Up in Asheville a bunch are forming a school and circling on the street at a flood water convergence

We don't, but there is a home depot 5 mins away. It's only going to be mid/upper 80s today, so we're waiting out to see if we get power back today. If it was July/August and 100s, yeah, I'd had been at home depot at 7am.
