I use the slider to suck hot air out of the cab. It’s nice, but definitely not a deal breaker for me.

Sliding rear windows are for regular cab trucks. They serve no purpose in a super crew. :D

My Powerboost has a killer AC and my windows are tinted with 3M ceramic IR15. I don't roll them down unless I have to lol. It's warm here in Central FLA...

edit: Noticed pic to the left there with my windows down, but we weren't moving yet lol

I prefer the back window. I like to run climate on fresh air back window cracked. The rear windows can make for some horrible flutter vs the back slider window you won't even notice. It's only a deal breaker if you 'must' have it. I think the engine choice would be a bigger concern if you're wanting a 5.0. I've got a 3.5 due to it being the engine choice of the PB.

Im with Iconic... the way some of these trucks (and my wifes SUV)are designed nowadays, if you open any of the windows it creates a loud rumbling of air that cant seem to escape correctly. When I drive around town with rear windows down, (which is almost always due to my Dog), I crack that rear window about 2 inches and the air flows out with no thundering air noise.

I have one on my S.Crew. I haven't found a use for it yet but don't mind having it. Wouldn't be a deal breaker for me either way. If it leaked or rattled, I would be very unhappy.

First time having power slider.
Can't say I love or hate it but I know it is there if I need it.

Thoughts on the power sliding rear window? Is this a must have or a nice to have?

My local dealer has a Tremor I like but it doesn't have the 5.0 or rear window options. I think I can settle for the 3.5 but is the rear window something I'm going to regret not having? Should I just do a custom 2024 order?
Like many others have said it's a real nice feature, my last truck for 20 years didn't have it. It's nice on cool days when I'm riding with the windows down it definitely changes the circulation pattern inside the cab where your face is not just getting destroyed with turbulence. As well as on road trips it acts like a fart fan. And when you stop you can leave it cracked to pull air through the truck much better, I'd say I like mine, it is a pain to dry it when you're washing your truck as I used to with a squeegee, but that's a small price to pay.

My kids like it, they climb through it and enjoy looking out and waving to people.

That said, it's a must for me. Having that extra control capability for in cabin conditions is nice.

I have one on mine and would consider omitting it on my next truck. It rattles like crazy when the radio is on, even when the volume is at a low level. The only time I open it anymore is to "reset" the rattle. It will go away briefly after the open-close cycle but soon returns.

8500 miles and the rattle started around 7500 miles. Which, coincidentally, was about the same time as I got the 23-PU0327-DSP-AMP update for the B&O system. I wonder if the output of the subwoofer changed.....?

DEFINITELY A MUST!! There’s literally no faster way to clear a fart without it. Don’t laugh….you know I’m right!

Oh, and I have NEVER experienced any rattles nor leaks coming from my 2022 or previous 2017

I was hauling a small load of PVC pipe the other day, ten foot lengths, with a 6'6" box, opened the back sliding window, stuffed the pipes in, strapped them down over the tonneau cover and proceeded to get them to the job site. Have down this many times, so yes I find the back sliding window very handy.

Also if I open the drivers or passenger window, I get the "Jimmy Buffet" feeling as the wind enters the window and buffets the truck. I find cracking the back slider reduces the buffeting better than opening one of the opposing side windows.
